Tonight I went in and chose a Sauvignon Blanc that tastes like a burned out vacuum belt, but the Beaujolais dude recommended to me last week was fantastic.

Dropped in yesterday to pick up a bottle of wine for a get together. I had left a voicemail and an employee had followed up with me so that's why I was there. While one gentleman assisted me with finding what I needed he abruptly left and seemed preoccupied with a task in the store. He didn't ask if I needed anything else or offer to ring me up. I waited for the other employee to finish with his customers at the register then he took a phone call and I politely waited for him to finish that. I approached the register to check out and was greeted with "Do you need something" Instead of "Hi" or "Are you ready to check out". The interactions were just awkward. I don't think I'll be going back.

There is a really good selection of beer and they send out weekly emails to highlight the new beers. Some of their beers are more expensive than they are at other local shops, but the staff is great.

Small space, but quite the extensive high calibre collection of wine and beer. Note: they do not have a refrigerated section. The staff are all quite knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect for those niche hard to find items.

Come for the wine, stay for the beer! Excellent selection of both, and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. It's a bit crowded with the layout, but that's unavoidable due to the massive selection. You'll often find beers here you can't find elsewhere in Virginia.

If you are looking for the insiders place to buy fine wine and craft beer in Cville check these guys out. I was looking for a few bottles of wine for a dinner party and decided to drop in. Was I surprised.
The selection is unmatched and they care about what they sell. The entire store is kept cold inside to preserve the integrity of the wine and beerand they will not be undersold in that they will match all VA prices including The "Clubs." They have their own parking lot which made my shopping fast and easy.report this review
