    Time for my quick review.
    - You can't stand up for your self with out teachers saying you have an attitude.
    - Girls have a hard time with dress code. Boys will literally walk around sagging or wearing a tank top and won't get dress code, but girls will
    - If someone tries to fight you, and you don.t fight back or trash talk, automatic OSS or DMK.
    - Some teachers are ok. If you have good grades and do as the teacher says, you will be ok. But if one person talks, everyone is punished and screamed at.
Overall, this school has either very good teachers or very bad ones. Hang with the right crowd and school will be ok. It even isnt as bad as people say because most of the 8th graders that said something, i know and they are either laughing or smiling when i see them sooo, thats it.

Finally made it to 8th grade. These 3 years have been torture. Everything and everyone is joke. You can’t go 5 minutes without a student disrupting and teachers yelling. It’s all a vicious cycle. The food, the way of teaching, the rules. It’s all terrible. One hole in your pants and you have to cover it up with tape. This is middle school and the teachers treat us like elementary. If the teachers even see your phone you get it taken up. Lunch time is 12:40 -1:00 for our mini school. Food is fake. You might as well eat plastic. This school is hungry for our money. Discipline is either not enough or too hard. Never fair. The students treat other students and teachers like trash. I could go on and on. Don’t send your kids to this prison

I hate this school. Being gifted, i have to go to "Spectrum". The teacher is a racist and she forces her political opinions on us. I thought teachers weren't allowed to share political views At the beginning of the year she gave us a speech on the nazi party and in that speech called ,us as a class, stupid. My friends and I reported her to guidance a week later but nothing EVER HAPPENED. Because of this school, I have decided to home school next year.

This place seems okay at first glance. It does. But it's NOT. I don't know how the teachers get away with half this stuff. From what I've heard, the 8A Social Studies teacher let someone running from the SRO inside. I, along with others, hate it here. The special education teachers call the kids "ignorant" and "stupid". When I tried to report this to a teacher, the teacher, Dr. Alexander said, "Well, are you sure the teacher didn't explain the concept 10 times?" Waving it off. Don't get me wrong, some teachers are good. But I HATED it here. In mere sixth grade, I wanted to die. The new Spectrum teacher, Dr. A, is a horrible person. She compares us, the gifted students, to her son. Her "perfect" son. And still, in my eighth grade year, this place is prison.

The teachers are so overly cranky all the time. if you look at a teacher wrong you get ISS. This school is honestly hell and i don't recommend sending your kids here. There is a lot of fighting, and even if you get beat up you still go to jail. you can not fight back or defend yourself. Teachers are very unobservant and do not catch onto anything. Someone could trip you and a teacher say "oh i didn't see it". The food is plastic. And all they want is money so they tons of fun raisers. Every teacher only looks at me and singles me out of the group that is being a raucous. At least i finally get to leave after this year. This school is a living HELL.

I think this school could be better by making the food more fattening for students, then we could all roll to classes

I Went Here For 8 Th Grade, By Far My Favorite School. Especially The Best Teacher In The World Jason Barringer. I Will always Remember This, It Felt Like I Was On Beyond Scared Straight. They Don't Call It Shitworth For Nothing. One Time Jason Let In A Fugitive Running From The SRO, Also This School Is Essentially An Underground Drug Trafficking Ring. Sent Your Kids Here If You Feel Like They Should Experience Hell. I Didn't Feel Comfortable Going To The Restroom For Fear Of Contracting An STD. This IS WBMS.

Been here for 3 years, it has been the worst 3 years of my life. Do not send your kids here, as they will encounter some very controversial practices such as fighting, drugs, alcohol, cussing out teachers, and getting in trouble for no reason. Couldn't wait to leave

To any adult that plans to move to Rutherford county and would like to raise children. I highly advise against sending them to WBMS. The building was badly understaffed to the point were beta and student leaders had to take on the role of custodians. The principles have absolutely terrible disciplinary skills and do not award good behavior. Instead of actually taking the time to pull out the trouble makers and punish them they decide to force all the kids in that grade or minischool to suffer the same punishment. Being a high level student, I can confirm that there is no reward for good behavior. I had to carry around almost my entire locker across the school. I didn't even have the same classes as the trouble makers. Sending your child to whitworth would be like sending them to a prison. The teachers even refer to their punishments as "Lockdown." Once a EA had called a special needs students stupid and often sent students to the dean for the smallest offense. When a student started a legitimate petition towards never letting her sub a class again. He was given 3 days on In School Suspension. Even worse, the EA was friends with the principle and was given special treatment. The school is unsafe as well. During a code yellow, my teacher let a student into our room from outside. The student was the fugitive running away from the SRO. Whitworth was probably the worse three years of my life.

As a student at the school for 3 years I can personally tell you that the faculty is what makes this school so aweful. Even as a good kid I was treated as a second class citizen. With there being a clear racial discrimination race and color being apparent. Sports are extremely unorganized while the school is full of athletes they are too busy to play due to the fact of getting in trouble for no reason at all.

This is a place of hate. From students and faculty. The assistant principal Mr.Willhoit will address bullying like it's a joke. Mr.Willhoit will tell the victim to change their personality to stop from being picked on but yet they preach about being yourself. I graduated from whitworth May 23, 2017. I left the school praying Mr.Willhoit or anyone in general wouldn't say those words to an individual. Saying something like that could lead suicide.
