Convenient to NYC. Run down dilapidated old. Taxis only take cash & turn down fares. Hello Uber. Convenient location.

Trains come quite often, and the station is easy to get to. Cabs available, parking reasonable and abundant, for a price. Only thing that lets it down is the expensive Tim Hortons, selling overpriced coffee.

Clean neat and had food and soda/water vending machines for convenience. Not many LIRR stations have that.

I tried it just once out of Manhattan where the train leaves every 10 minuets. The station and the parking area really needs to be renovated. I felt I went backwards 10 years or more. White Plains deserves more than that particularly for daily commuters.
    Staff are the best though.

The stars are for the train conductors and the trains that so diligently take us from work to home again and again as far as the Dunkin Donuts needs a bit to be desired for and as far as the prices at the newsstand that's highway robbery but as far as the Metro-North train system that deserves five stars

Always on time and it's very clean. They have the MTA eTix app, which is great especially if you're running low on time and you can't get a ticket before the next train arrives. I just easily buy the tickets off the app, perfecto! If you need a plug to recharge your electronics, there are plugs located near the seats across from the bathroom stalls.

Clean. Busy station. Across from BeeLine bus station. Trains always on time or within a few minutes of schedule

For having only two tracks, this station is pretty good. Fair amount of sitting space, a lot of it inside/covered. Ticket window is usually open. Bathrooms tend to be kind of filthy, but there's not a lot they can do about that (at least, not without armed guards). They also have a Tim Horton's coffee now, if you care about that sort of thing.

main traffic hub for the Harlem line. Also a transfer point when heading farther north than the next stop, North White Plains. It has an indoor waiting area for colder and/or rainy days where you just don't want to be out in the elements waiting for the train, with a downstairs that has a newsstand and vending machines. Always taxis outside but I try not to use them anymore because I have never once got a set price on how much it costs to take me home by any of them. There's a nice parking structure here and bus depot across the street if you need to take a bus farther north than the trains go. If calling a ride share like Uber here, I suggest you not call them TO the station, but a block or two away as I've heard stories of the cabbies getting into it with Uber drivers.

Basic station with a nice indoor waiting area so you don't freeze on a cold day. Trains seem to be on time. Food selection could be better.

It's a basic train station, definitely not intended for a food or entertainment hot spot. The staff at the ticket booth have always been very friendly and the station feels safe and kept pretty clean.

Great commute, The metro north is always a great train. But don't go to the bathroom here unless you dream of contracting herpes
