  Whenever family members have to contact a funeral home, it's a chaotic and troublesome time. Being greeted by someone with quiet professionalism and gracious empathetic understanding of your loss helps to order the next steps with less pain. That was our experience with Justin at Whitacre Funeral Home, and we appreciated his calming efficiency and kind patience.
  
  Everything was handled with dignity and care, what I would expect from any established funeral home. But Justin and Erin took extra steps on the day of the service that I neither requested nor expected that turned out to make the service much more meaningful and more consoling. For going that extra mile, I'll always be grateful. And each thoughtful gesture there left us all feeling cared for and valued. Our thanks to the team.

  My immediate family and extended family have trusted Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry for many decades. The care,concern,thoughtfulness and attention to details each of the employees give is pretty amazing. They truly do care and made us feel as comfortable as possible. They were extremely accommodating and we deeply appreciate them.

  Our family has utilized Whitaker Funeral Home for our loved ones for decades, as my wife and I are both Newberry natives. When my Mom 'Buncie' -- also a native -- passed away recently we naturally turned to Whitaker. As always they were responsive, respectful, and professional.

  I cannot speak highly enough of Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. The directors and personnel made a very emotional day a beautiful celebration ny Father-in-laws life. They flawlessly dressed my father-in-law in his military garb. The workers were kind, attentive and catered to our every need big or small. What a blessing this funeral home was to our family. Thank you!

  Whitaker Funeral Home provided an entirely professional experience at the passing of my Mother. Every detail, those planned for in advance or not, was thought of and prepared for by the staff.
  It was an emotional time for a very large family, and the experience of Whitakers' made it as comforting as it could be.
