Nice and authentic American road-side diner. The stake was well made, the soup was fine. The manager could have had a cleaner dress though.

Old, old school diner. Amazing home made pies. A great burger was the special, done just right. Employees much nicer than the owner, though.

Place is regularly shut down by health department! It's all public information! See for yourself!

Love the old fashioned feel of this diner. It's my favorite stop for a meal along the Taconic Parkway.

I have been to this diner for breakfast twice in the past three months; it is conveniently located half way between my sister and myself. I gave it a pass the first time, not feeling overly positive with my soft and somewhat soggy waffle - it was described as a Belgium waffle, but it was a flat, regular waffle with not enough substance to stand up to butter and syrup. We tried the diner a second time today and this time ordered omelets. They were tasteless and one was very greasy and not eatable. The waitress seemed offended when we mentioned it and just walked away. She did not apologize or offer an alternative and charged us the full price. She agreed to take a few bucks off the bill per our request. The bill was reduced to $33 for three omelets, three coffees and a side of fruit, which we opted to have instead of the included home fried potatoes (the blueberries seemed to have been previously frozen, not fresh). We will not return to this diner and will try the Chief Diner located one exit north off the Taconic on Rte. 23 - it has pretty decent reviews.

Very good diner near Taghkanic State park. Great atmosphere and staff. Dinner was okay (good veggie burgers, fried fish was oily, sweet potato fries soggy), but breakfast was wonderful- great pancakes, eggs, bacon!

I wish I could put zero stars. This is, without a doubt, the worst diner I have ever been to. The entire time we were there, at least 8 flies were buzzing around our table at any given time. We waited over 15 minutes for our waitress to get us four waters, three of which had flies in it. Excited for the homemade soups they advertised, we asked what soup they had today, to which her reply was "Nothing any good." When our food came, a $9 order of buffalo chicken fingers only came with 3 small strips. Diners are usually known for their large portion sizes, but this place was the opposite. Don't make the mistake of trying this place, you will be disgusted and disappointed.

Great pancakes! Eggs Benedict on weekends - yum. Love the coffee! Owner is really friendly and the waitress knows our orders by heart. Of course you can't beat the decor.
