Staff is not friendly or helpful. It is mostly consumed by homelessness and the wretched smell of degradation. The place is unorganized and I can never find what I'm looking for. It is so close to my home but I will now only be using the Santa Monica location it is much cleaner. A large bald man yells to "help" you find an isle, refused to look up authors, and the woman at the help desk believes making phone calls are more important than helping those people who are standing right in front of her. This library is overall utterly distasteful and backwards.
Nice staff, very helpful. They did not have a book I needed so they ordered it for me from other location. 4 stars are for homeless people. It is a good thing that they spend their day there reading but unfortunately I can not stay there longer than 10 minutes picking a book because of the smell.
it's public so ignore whatever isnt your business, sometimes other people fart just ignore it, lol when someone legit crazy and silence your noise kthx
Came here to check out some books for research, but I have no desire to go back because it was a bit scary.

Rather than coming back to return the books I checked out, I returned them to my local library instead.

Another thing that detracts is the lack of free parking unlike other LA County library branches on the Westside.
Wifi works. Bathroom is closed for draining problems. Hearthstone works. Fairly quiet.
The staff are helpful and polite. There is a population of homeless but they are respectful for the most part. Spread a lil Love around it goes along way. Peace and blessing to all that read this :)
