Description

A five building complex which includes the only full sized replica Sod House in Iowa. We also have the first framed one-room School House in Palo Alto County and the first Post Office in West Bend. We have a main Museum building and a Barn which house collections of artifacts from West Bend and from life in the early to mid Twentieth century. In the Barn we have tools and equipment mainly from the time before gas powered machinery. We have a number of hands-on activities in the main building and in the barn. On site is the West Bend Veterans Memorial.
