Great food and great service.
This place is friendly and upbeat!! Always a nice crowd and is good for all seasons! The food is amazing (large portions i can never finish) but very delicious! Most of all the owner is awesome and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy!
Food was ok, not great
Great margaritas
Favoritest watering hole in the north woods!
They have the awesomest cook in the summer.
Okay so the trick is you have to know the menu and how to talk to your staff. This place is very good, but keep in mind it serves a tough and gritty lumberjack-type crowd year-round, so forget about manners, leave your tampons outside, and tell your pub staff how you want your friggin' food. And they're not in the business of paying people to chop fresh "pico de gallo" all day so bring your own cilantro if you you're one of those gourmet nancy's. The best things on the menu are the chicken fajitas and the baja beef burrito, which has about a half pound of ground beef in it, (but have them hold the bbq sauce and put extra shredded cheese on the baja if you ask me). You have to ask for chips & salsa, and the chips come out steamy and oily like they were freshly baked. The steak fajitas are just okay, but that's typical; steak fajitas are a terrible idea because that kind of meat needs to be tenderized and nobody does that right. This is Tex-Mex, not Cancun-Q-sine, alright? Okay so this is an older building with 70s type paneling and Chicago-dining style stuffed leather & wood bar stools, several modern large flat-panel HD TVs playing sports nonstop and a life-sized bikini model beer poster in the billiard room. Now you know what you're getting into. It's an authentic Northwoods pub, so don't come year if you don't have a few snappy comebacks for the folks who want to hang out and break ballz.
