Every other Saturday from May through November, the WaterFire event lights up Providence. It starts at sundown & goes until midnight. Park as close to the waterfront as you can, then continue on foot.

Every other Saturday, 100 bonfires burn in the center of three rivers that flow through downtown. It's awesome to see, plus there is plenty of live music and performers traveling throughout!
Dress warm, it's quite cool at night!
The drunk'n clams are awesome. Also try the grilled tofu large plate. Very yummy!
You can go on a boat ride sipping a glass of wine while watching the floating bonfires. Amazing experience!

A vibrant street festival capped by a blazing nighttime spectacle: 100 bonfires set afloat at the confluence of 3 rivers.
The music, the food, the crowds, the smell of the wood burning.. Best later in the evening when the crowds have thinned out.
One of The best things about providence, be ready to walk if you want the full experience..come early and park in the mall for those penny pinchers out there!

Fire in fire holders atop a dirty river and crowded sidewalks with Mexicans screaming and untrained children. But hey, what else do we have to do in Rhode island?
Serene yet exciting night out first partial lighting this week as a fund raiser please give so that we can enjoy this treasure more often.
