Fun park on the lake has swings, volleyball, swimming, long dock/pier and camping.

Not many people on a hot Satuday early afternoon in July. The beach has long grass growing up through it but the volleyball has no grass and new white sand. NO DOGS allowed!
Day use fee and overnight for camping. Lots of kayakers learning in a calm cove.
Boat launch area popular and the parking lot half full.
There is also a Mulch park, my reason for visiting but it was great to be able to cool off in the water after shoveling in the hot sun. THANKS Dawson county for recycling. Not sure why Forsyth has removed theirs from county way. A great idea for Fulton too. Many people could use the mulch but don't have room or time to deal with a truckload delivery. I hope this is saving Cypress trees from ending up in Home Depot. I saw those farms West Florida and it seems such a waste to beautiful land.

Crowded on the beach . Loud and noisy . Reckless people. The only good thing I can say about this place is it's easy to leave.

Pretty nice park, came here to do some fireworks on July 4th and it wasn't too crowded and there was ample space to set up and grill out. Lots of mosquitos, though.

Great park for a family stay-cation. Enjoy the sandy beach on Lake Lanier. Picnic, fish and play volleyball. Campsites are available too. Once a year, Georgia Movies In the Park hosts a special Movies on the Beach here.
