Stopped here for the first time on our way through to KY. Pulled in 9:00 at night, cold, windy, wet (snow/rain mix), but the owner came right out and led us to a spot for our RV. Someone else helped us hook up to the water/electricity, all in the cold & dark. SUPER friendly, did nothing to make us feel guilty for being so late. May never pass thru here again, but blessed to have found it last night. No, it may not look like the shiniest or fanciest of places. Yes, it appears there are folks living here full-time (chickens and geese, how fun is that). But we enjoyed our stay even tho it was brief, and thankful they were available.
Glorified trailer park. Trashy and run down.
I came by to check on tent sites. They have one big area for tent camping with no good place to park off the dirt road. The RV part of the campground was trashy. Several old junky RV's parked on some lots, a few mattresses against buildings, and lots of beautiful stumps to look at from tree cutting. I'd rate this campground a 0 if I could. I had not one thought of tent camping here for $20 a night. Probably wouldn't consider it for $2 either. Stay away!!
Very rugged, muddy dirt road, no one would answer the door at office.
I loved it here. We will definitely be back. Everyone was so friendly. The guy who brought us our wood helped put our tent up and even got our fire started. They also jumped my car when my battery died from leaving my lights on lol. Thanks guys. Your amazing.
