  I like a lot of the employees and they carry a little of everything you can think of. If you just check it out you will find what you want. The automotive dept does a great job along with the other depts. If you treat the employees with respect they will go above and beyond and they will even if you are rude to them. Please be nice to the workers because they have to work hard to make everyone happy.

  A neighborhood grocery store type of Wal-Mart.
  Has all different departments to shop.
  Sell furniture and clothes, grocery and fresh meat, and all kind of food.
  Also sell appliances and TV.
  You can also buy pet products and be able to print your photos.

  I like the clearance sales. I usually find something that I want every time I go to this store. The staff are friendly and helpful and the store is always clean.

  I was considering a laptop purchase. A couple young guys working in customer service spent at least a half hour explaining the benefits of a custom built desk top. They even looked up places for me to go for my needs. So to the 2 young men at customer service on 12/1/17 Thank you!

  Very nice clean Walmart. Not overly huge. Easily visible. Lots of parking. Associates were friendly and sincere. None of them seemed as if they hated their jobs and the customer!! Found a nice variety of KU merchandise, which was our main reason for stopping in.

  Very few items for vegans and vegetarians. Practically no organic produce. Very limited selection on most Foods. Also very small general merchandise sections. I will not return.

  Very short lines at checkouts. Virtually no line for self-centered. In and out in less than 10 minutes.

  They don't always have a great selection of different items. Certain items they almost always seem to be out of. But for most quick trips to grab last minute things or do some basic toiletry/grocery shopping, it's a decent place to go. The self check is easy enough to use and the employees are generally friendly. Nothing special but far from awful.

  This Walmart (known locally as Small-mart)had a tough time getting into Lawrence since there was already a super center across town and Lawrence residents are all about supporting local vendors. Hence, several "compromises" were made. No alcohol, no propane, a smaller "neighborhood market" feel (which means less shelf space and less variety). This is not their fault, but other things certainly are. Poor produce culling (removing rotten to make way for fresh) and consistently expired dairy (a problem for years now) are just two major issues. Having said that, the folks working at this store are much friendlier than at the store on the other side of town. That, unfortunately, is not saying much though.

  I like this one over the larger one on Iowa. There is a more of a friendly atmosphere. Customer service is amazing. I have had so many of the employees come up to me and ask me if I needed help.
  I do so there a lot, so there are many employees come up to me and ask how I'm doing today.

  It's a Wal-Mart, so it's pretty standard as far as that goes. I like this Wal-Mart, though, because it's clean, and it's never crowded. The lines move quickly. They have a good produce and meat selection. It is smaller than the Wal-Mart Supercenter in south Lawrence, so once in a while (not often, but once in a while) they are limited on some items.
