Great restaurant in the heart of Tribeca. Chicken was tender and crisp and salad and potatoes were great. Very affordable as well!

The cold, cheap beer and juicy burgers make up for the blunt service (New York charm), and the crisp pan-roasted chicken atop buttery smashed potatoes is a solid foundation for lots of booze.

A ba/restaurant has operated here more or less continuously since the 1880s and the old fixtures are still present, even though the current manifestation opened in 1987.
