Since last Sunday night the Voss employees have been working hard and donating time to help others. I am so proud of our men, women and all their efforts and generosity!!! The last couple of days have been fun, rewarding and a change of pace from our normal day to day operations.
Tonight was the night reality sank in!!! We received a phone call from a family stranded on top of a mountain, almost two feet of snow and I am guessing two plus miles of driveway. Running low on supplies, no electricity, no water and only a partial night left of fire wood, literally stranded scared, alone and by far not the last driveway on the road. We made contact by the combination of a backhoe and a four wheeler. When people are delivering survival items with atv’s it’s real
Driving off the mountain tonight I could not help to think about all the families, elderly and kids. I have been fortunate enough to build homes all over this county I also understand how vast and Desolate it can be.
Electricity is coming back on, roads are clearing up, town is starting to function normally and life is moving forward.
NOT FOR EVERYBODY
MY POINT - there is still a lot of people that need help and supplies.
