The fried squid legs with mayo are the best! Great place to spend a Friday with friends - drink and eat all night long

Best izakaya japanese food in nyc. Late night or just for dinner and drinks! Good for groups. Gets very crowded so beware!

I love their hamashio - succulent, hot, salty clams. For the adventurous, try the chicken gizzard skewers!

Must try the omusoba. Much like a giant egg burrito but twice as good

Very good food but the short hair waiter has such a bad mood (he don't deserves any tip at all! So rude!) On the other hand, the long hair dude is very polite.

A step up from the St. Marks chaos of Yakitori Taisho and Oh Taisho - darker, more grown up, better food. Crispy fried squid legs, ikura don, sake.

If you're there with a few friends, split a 1.8L bottle of Kurosawa Kimoto sake. Great accompaniment for the cuisine!

One other few Japanese restaurants that have Yebisu beer and it goes well with hana-fry. Good izakaya.
