You wanna feel the full effect of new school racism ? Come to Viir
We discovered this gem (pun intended) the last time we visited Tucson and were delighted to find that, in addition to some really special jewelry and watches, they have incorporated a multi media art gallery
throughout the store. Not a stuffy, intimidating type of gallery, but one that invites you to meander through the different rooms (I think it is a restored old home) and enjoy the eclectic treasures. Both times we have visited they had different featured artists and that was a nice surprise.
I dropped some serious hints to hubby concerning a gorgeous ring they had displayed so I'm hoping he will pay them another visit before Valentines Day : - )
I recommend everyone who loves jewelry and/or art to check out Viir Fine Jewelry & Art for themselves; you'll love it I'm sure!
I loved the atmosphere. I loved the customer service. I loved the unique pieces they have including the art. Basically I loved everything about this place.
My now-husband and I go to Viir for all of our jewelry needs. My husband and I go there for any watch repairs needed, anniversary/holiday present purchases and they have always been great! The owner Jeff Velasco is incredibly nice, incredibly knowledgeable and always answers any questions we have. We like Viir so much, my husband had a custom engagement ring made there as well as our custom wedding bands and they are gorgeous! I go in periodically to have my ring cleaned at Viir and they are always incredibly nice, great customer service. I highly recommend going to Viir for the beautiful selection, beautiful store and excellent customer service!
I brought 3 watches which were my grandfather's into the shop. One I was told would never work again, I got it working with WD40. The watch maker didn't attempt to do anything to it obviously, and he cracked part of the metal casing trying to open it. The other two watches I left with them. Only one, did they fix, and to be honest it looks pretty good. They sent it out for a custom crystal to be made and installed, and that part I have no complaints about. I am a little curious, what exactly they did for 65 dollars in maintenance. I asked and the best answer I got was "cleaning and lubricating the inside". Basically they didn't do anything I assume, maybe hit it with a little watch oil and canned air. 140 bucks, I probably could have done this work myself. The last, they said they could not fix.
All in all they were not that great when it came to customer service, the watch-maker is rude, and egotistical. The younger gentleman at the counter is fairly nice, but, doesn't really seem to make any decisions on his own. I wouldn't return to this jewelry store for watch repairs again. They do have neat jewelry though. So that's a plus.
