n 1981 our founder, Craig Peterson was an early developer on the Internet. He helped develop and implement Internet protocols throughout the 1980's and 1990's. We were approached by some of our clients in 1991 to build Internet sites for them. Back then the sites just provided ftp files that were archived by Archie and Veronica. Fast forward to 1993 and Marc Andreessen. He developed the world's graphical browser Mosaic, at the National Center For Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) which gave the http protocol the big boost that it needed. That's when we first started developing web sites for business. Since that day we've developed and hosted sites for more than 5,000 businesses from Verizon and Vivdendi, International through small local companies. We also have been building and maintaining specialized hosting services using a few specialized content management systems including , Drupal and Wordpress. As part of our web site development and hosting businesses we also ended up developing first-in-class security services. The Internet and E-mail has made computer networks much more vulnerable to security threats ranging from pranks, to malicious damage, to espionage. Recently, new Industry practices and government regulations, such as HIPAA and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, require certain data to be secured and protected. These factors have caused heightened awareness about computer network security and caused a surge in demand for products to protect enterprises and individuals from these threats and legal liabilities. Today we maintain hosting at data centers in New Hampshire, British Columbia, Washington, Texas and Massachusetts.
