She hurt my hamster, who ultimately ended up passing away. This doctor seemed to have no interest in hamsters despite the office telling me she works with exotic pets. She awkwardly handled my hamster as if she didn’t know what she was doing; I overlooked it the first time but by the 2nd appointment my hamster was harmed and never recovered. It was like she went in normal and came out completely changed. She cried and whimpered— I was told it was “normal” as a result of sedation but later found out it wasn’t. Something else happened. Went to three other vets after to try to figure out what happened and she had to have emergency surgery. She ultimately passed away during her recovery. This has been a horrible experience. Do NOT take your hamster here. Go to an exotics vet. I previously went to VAH months ago and had a good experience but it was with a different vet who no longer works there. So my hamster was scheduled with Dr. Sneed instead, last month. I think VAH is better for cats and dogs. Hamsters are complex and delicate creatures. It’s also important to find a vet who actually LIKES the animals they are working with- all animals. I still can’t believe this happened.

Such a great experience with this office! I had a sick piggy and they got him right in and fixed him right up. They are just all around really nice people, which is great when you're worried about your pet. Thanks guys!
