Brought my own device to an existing plan and got a SIM card installed for free. The online wait time was waaaay off! The help was top notch.
I can say that Verizon cell phone carrier is by far the best of all other carriers when it comes to the service and not having dropped calls and or no dead zones. However, I do think that Verizon is very expensive out of all the other carriers. I can barely afford to pay the bill. I think it’s great not having to wait every 2 years to upgrade but for instance if you upgrade within a year and you don’t turn in your old phone, you are left with paying the remaining amount of the old phone which is added to your cell phone bill. In my case, my son ended up cracking his screen and it didn’t work so we didn’t turn it in because I was told I wouldn’t get any money for the phone so we didn’t mail it back in however no one told me at the store that the remaining amount left on the old phone is my responsibility to pay regardless. They did NOT inform me of this. My bill is over one thousand dollars right now. It’s terrible how this is not being told to customers. I also ended up upgrading my phone as well and I have my old phone still to this day and they said there is no need to turn mine in if I don’t want too? What the heck? This whole thing doesn’t make sense. As for the trade in goes Verizon sends a email to your email address with gift card information. However, you cannot use it like a credit card because there is no expiration date nor is there any 3 digit security numbers that are normally listed on the back of all credit cards or gift cards. These “so called” gift cards are not what you expect them to be. Verizon used to send you an actual gift card via the mail with all the information you need and can use the money anywhere, but now this isn’t the case. So, you are made to use this money back with Verizon only. You can use it to put on your bill or you can buy accessories with it. I know for me and to many others, this is ridiculous and not right. There has been so many things that has been told to me by this store that hasn’t been correct because if I come in the next day, I get a different Verizon sales person and this person tells me an entire different thing. It’s like they do not know what they are doing. I also do not like that the representative doesn’t sit down with you and go over the new phone with you like they used to do.
Don in the Bel Air, Md store has assisted me and took the time to explain the phone. He is great. I always recommend this store and him.
I work across the street so about 2 weeks back I went in on my lunch break for a very well needed upgrade. I worked with a guy named Don Adams and he was great. Knowing I was on lunch, he worked quickly, but thoroughly with me on exactly what I wanted and made sure he didn't leave out any extras that I qualified for. Well, I had a problem with my screen protector, went in and to my surprise he was working when I returned a few days later and once again was awesome in helping me. Would definitely work with him again!
I went to the store with my wife to upgrade our phones; mine because of lousy service from Sprint after 15 years, hers because it was old. I was apprehensive about going to Verizon for service because I'm very cynical of all the Cell phone companies because of their terrible customer service. I was pleasantly surprised by the service/patience I received from Jamie Price at the store. I had to make 4 trips to resolve my issues with Sprint releasing my phone, not Verizon. She was patient with me and my total frustration. She took the time to give me direction, assist me and finally help me with a purchase of a new phone because of the lies from Sprint. I would highly recommend her and the store. Thanks again to Jamie and her team.
