I was going to go here but the snob who answered turned me off. First time going so before i took the drive i called to ask a few questions just in case and she answered me like I asked the dumbest question ever. Poor phone skills sounds like the grinch.
I have brought my daughter (4 month old) and while the sign said open she couldn't be checked. It was 8:49 and the last patient could be registered at 8:45. Nurse didn't even bothered asking if the condition was serious and required immediate attention. Just sorry we can't take you. I would expect little bit more from the urgent care
Velocity has highly qualified, professional and friendly staff. We never have a long wait. This is an excellent option. For non-urgent treatment. I have taken my kids (19 & 14) for visits and they love the staff too.
One of the best experiences I have had at a urgent care. The staff was amazing and friendly. I wasn't sure what was wrong but the PA took care of me and now I am feeling much better. Highly recommend going to Velocity and I will be taking my family there from now on. Thank You!!
I brought my step daughter into velocity last week and had a wonderful experience. The staff was professional and friendly. My daughter was scared to get a strep test done and the nurse Melissa was so kind and patient with her. She walked her through every step and made sure she was comfortable. She was great! The doctor Kelsey was also fabulous. She explained everything to me and made sure that we had everything we needed before we left. I would highly recommend this medical facility. They provide A+ care and the staff is wonderful!
As a first time pt on the evening of 12/30/16, I thought the receptionist was extremely unprofessional. She didn't even look up to greet me and while I was filling out the intake forms in the waiting room, I could hear her crunching loudly on chips. Then she demanded I pay $75 up front even after I informed her multiple times that I met my out-of-pocket for the year. She insisted I owed it because "that's what her computer was telling her." So I ended up leaving because of her rudeness and ignorance. If their front desk staff is that awful, I didn't want to stick around to see their medical staff.
Staff is nice but they can't treat. They bill you as much as a specialist would but can't tell you what's going on. If you don't pay right away after reviving a bill they put you to collections. They treat everything with antibiotic and send you somewhere else. Waste of money!!! Really disappinted
Well the first time I went was when a friend of my mom opened it up. I remember one time I went there. I was ice skating and I hurt my tailbone. So one of the doctors examined me and put me on muscle relaxer. It helped. So they helped me out. I recommend it to my friends.
If there was 0 stars, I would've posted 0. Worst experience at an urgent care/doctor's office I have ever had (I went to the Rocky Hill location). I had strep throat-like symptoms, but the test came back negative. I had more tonsillitis symptoms, but the doctor (Cindy) I saw wanted to test for mono. I told her I wasn't comfortable at the time doing a blood test and would come back later, the doctor (Cindy) constantly repeated that if I did not do the mono test right then that my spleen would rupture and I would die. The final time (after about 10) I said I would come back later, she told me to, "Suck it up, girl." After that comment, I was so uncomfortable, I told her I was going to leave. Cindy threatened me that they would charge me for the visit (even though my insurance covered it) and slammed the door. When you tell a doctor you're stressed about something, the doctor should not repeatedly threaten you saying you'll die if you don't do something that makes no sense if you don't have any symptoms for it. I went to Hartford Medical Group the next day, diagnosed it as tonsillitis, got the correct antibiotics, and now I'm 100% better.
I emailed the manager about this, but I just wanted to post my review as well about how horrible this place is.
This was my first experience with an urgent care clinic in the area and I was not disappointed. I was quickly greeted, after filling out my forms, I only waited a couple of minutes before being escorted back by a nurse. The nurse was friendly and explained everything he was doing. I saw one of the physician's assistants and she was excellent. I received prompt medical care, everyone had pleasant attitudes, and they even called the next day to check up on me. I'd never experienced such care from my general practitioner, let alone a walk-in clinic. Hopefully, I won't need to use their services again, but it's nice to know that there's a place like this around.
