Cheap cheap cheap. Lowest prices on produce and deli meats. Seafood special can be great like Tilapia fillets at $1.99 and large 26/30 shrimp at $4.99 a pound. Deli has all the meats and cheeses you could want. But this department always seems to have new employees so they can do a questionable job of cutting meats properly. Some of the produce isn't the best grade (which partially explains the rock bottom prices) but if you spend time selecting carefully you'll walk away satisfied. Why go to overpriced Vons when a head of lettuce at Valley Marketplace is just 50 cents and tomatoes are the same price per pound? Fresh green beans $2.49 at Ralph's? Just .99 at VM. Friendly Spanish speaking girls work the registers. Not always the quickest checkout but except for Aldi's, how many markets are fast? Great and helpful service in the meat department. Butcher Victor is always eager to please and give you the cut you ask for. It's hardly the most attractive store but L.A. could use a few more Valley Marketplaces.

Valley Produce it's an ok place to buy your grocery.
They have pretty good selection of products, but they sometimes don't have some products available, like the Salvadorian chorizo, they have the sign on the meat market section but there is none available.
They lack of professionalism at register counter, I remember to go there and buy some grocery and then go the register; the girl who helped me that night was "Stephanie", she kept talking to her co-worker behind her all the time during the transaction, by doing that she charged me 2 plastic recycle bag and she only gave me one. Next time, if decide to come back?..I will make sure to check my receipt before leaving.

Valley Produce has the best selection of produce in Simi Valley. Produce prices are quite good and things seem to cycle fast. The placement of dry goods here is unusual in that pantry items are separated by ethnic brands. For instance you will find spices in the Indian aisles, Spanish aisles, or Chinese aisles.

Not enough help from people working there because they don't have enough personnel
But the produce area is excellent
It's also clean , well organized

dairy products department is excellent they have good specials on cheese and other products
Excellent prizes,the employees there are always ready to help you .

They have a big selection of ethnic foods if your in the mood to get creative and make a dish you never have. They also have a good selection of meat and deli products too

Best prices for produce in town! 5 stars for their produce prices, but don't expect any frills. From 3-4 stars for everything else I'd say. 3 or 4 stars for general atmosphere, 4 stars for meat & deli departments, 3 stars for prices on packaged & frozen goods.

This place is awesome! They have every exotic spice and strange-looking produce item you could ever be looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for people who are interested in ethnic cooking and need arcane ingredients!
