THEY DO GOOD JOB WITH MY WIFE NAILS.
Horrible horrible experience! They rushed through my fill! Then they didnt wanna fix my nails a couple days later. Then the guy that guy that did them acting like he didnt do my nails and the girl said I never seen you before. They just didnt wanna do my nails it was bs. Crappiest nail place ever. Never again!
Horrible place, I will never return. They rushed my mani. were rough with my pedi and then told me I needed my eye brows done because "it grow too much fo you face". I feel like that is rude.
I've been going to V-Nails for two years and have never had a problem- until today.
For the first year, I got acrylic nails, and they were always perfect for the most part. Eventually I couldn't afford to keep up the habit, but continued to return to get my eyebrows waxed and, if there ever were an occasion, my nails done.
Today I went in. They know me. They recognized me. It was the young, tiny lady and the stringy man forementioned in the first review. The wife, two boys, and daughter were absent. On my way back to the waxing bed, she asked me if I wanted a pedicure. I declined, but inquired on the price of a basic manicure without color and decided against it.
As I'm under the fluorescent light in the chair, while she's waxing my eyebrows, as she has regularly for a year, she asks me about my lips. This was weird to me, as I'm dirty blonde, but I figured she saw a mustache I hadn't noticed and said, verbatim, "If you think I need it!"
Upon approaching the counter to pay, she told me it'd be 5$ more than the usual price for eyebrows. I inquired as to why- and she said for the lips. I told her that she hadn't disclosed to me that the lips would cost anymore in price. She kept repeating I owed her the total because I said yes, and I kept repeating I was unaware they were extra and that they should honor me as a returning customer- who would have declined had I known. This woman has worked on me more than anybody else there, and knows I never get my lips done. I believe this was a kind of con, if I'm being honest.
I put the money for eyebrows only in cash on the table, and walked out. I got in my car- saw white welts all around my lips. Above them.
I got out, and the husband to the owner (the stringy man) was smoking a cigarette outside the salon. I asked him why there were welts on my lips, and he told me, "Pay the 5$ and I'll tell you."
But the comment that made sure I never return was, "If you no have money, I no make you pay. But I know you have money."
As a waitress, I can tell you I make less than 20 a year, and won't be spending any more of that at this salon. Had his wife been there, I'm sure none of this would have happened. But, as also forementioned in the comments below, the rest of them don't care. And to judge me like that I would never.
I have no clue what these low reviews are talking about. I originally went to this place because my old place had a super long wait and I needed mine done as soon as possible as I was going out of town, so I went to V NAILS. I haven't stopped going since!
I got an acrylic set and got FOUR fill-insnot a single one of my nails broke!!!!!!! They take their time to make sure the quality of your nails is as good as their appearance. They remove every little bit of lifted acrylic and carefully replace it.
They ASK you everything you want done to your nails before they do anything. They check each individual nail to make sure they match. These people DO NOT allow you to leave their salon as anything less than PERFCECTION.
They are the most polite people! They say please, thank you, yes ma'am, yes sir, you're welcome and the younger male held my bag and opened the door for me as I left last time!
It's quiet and doesn't smell like a typical nail salon. They are gentle with my hands and feet.
They don't hound you to get more stuff done during your visit.
This business has gained a loyal customer and I have told every female I work with about them. They deserve to get the area's business
Horrible horrible experience! They rushed on my pedicure and on top of that they cut my toe and it wasn't just a little small cut either. Then after the lady cut my toe she placed my toe back in the used water. Disgusted. I had to ask for alcohol to clean my toe. She didn't care at all. Also I asked for a deluxe pedicure and my friend asked for the basic pedicure. They charged me for a deluxe pedicure but did the same exact pedicure as my friend. They were rude and the service was terrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
New to the area and Had a horrible experience the only thing that was good was took a long time with the pedicure but a 5 year old could have painted my toes better nail polish on all my cuticles that were not even filed back had to come home and clean them up my nails were the same I had to come home and get the polish off my skin the place is dirty. When your working with alot of dust you should really clean. They are very nice but need to act like a service salon answering personal cell phones a guy just walking around the shop talking to everyone I pay for a service and for that service to be focused on. I will not be going back
