Everyone knows in sailing that having systems and gear that are quality made will save you trouble in the future. This is why the Wire to Rope halyard kit is so important. The package came as shown in the pictures flaked out nicely and you can see the craftsmanship in the splice. Having served in the Navy and Merchant Marine I can tell you it takes a special person to be able to do that correctly. Well done. The end of the wire is bare and you will need to swage it onto your own fitting as shown below. The swage and thimble come in the package but you will have to get your own swage tool as you would expect. One final thing that is not 100% obvious in the article description. If it says there is 50' of wire there is 50' of line too (e.g. 50' plus 50" equals 100'). You simply trim the wire as needed to get the right length overall.

I ordered two steel carabiners. They can fast and we’re exactly as the picture described. I haven’t had a chance to use them yet as they are to hang aerial equipment on and I am waiting on it but they should do the job!

I liked the idea of a $5 off coupon, but when I went to use it 5 minutes after I received it, it wasn’t valid.
No requirements were listed for Using the $5 coupon. The rope grab I wanted was just under $25. Maybe it was too small a purchase? BUT THERE WAS NO REQUIRED MINIMUM listed.
Felt like a bait and switch deal. So I bought a rope grab elsewhere.
