  Wonderful place to do business with. Purchased black german shepherd puppy on 9-16-22. Jeff answered all of our questions. Allowed us time to have the mother of puppy get it's scent on it for the ride home. Meet mother and father of puppy, big black german shepherds. I would recommend giving Upstate German Shepherds a call or check out their website.

  I have been in the market for the best bred Shepherd for a while and contacted a specialized GS group on Reddit for a breeder in the Northeast, which is how I found UGS. I have never experienced better customer service, or such knowledgeable, as from Jodi and Don. Every question I have had along the way has been replied to in such a friendly manner, and when I decided to wait for a bit longer with getting my puppy due to personal life events they were really cooperative and helpful, and I cannot wait till I can get back to them to get my puppy. The dames and sires are impressive stock - I have experience dealing with the best breeders in Scandinavia. I wholeheartedly recommend UGS for anyone considering a top of the line GS.   I called Don out of the blue after hours and he graciously took the call and answered all my questions. Having 50 years experience with large breed dogs, I could tell straight away Don was knowledgeable. We lost our beloved old man last year at age 14 and we're not quite ready for a new family member just yet. When the time is right, I'll be sending a deposit for my puppy from Upstate.

  At first I thought my German Shepherd puppy I received from this breeder was actually an alligator disguised as a puppy! The Working Line variation of this breed demands your attention, lots of playtime, room to exercise, and early obedience training. My puppy is a quick learner when working with his trainer, attribitual to his lineage. Alas, I'm not as quick a learner, although I am improving. Be sure to have your veterinarian check for parasites, my guy picked up Giardia, which is readily treatable. The breeders are professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

  Recently purchased a female GSD puppy from these folks, and couldn't be happier with the puppy. She has been super easy to train, and is great with my family. I would absolutely recommend these folks! Thanks again for the amazing puppy!
