Many of the people negatively reviewing UW Admissions sound like children and need to grow up. This is a competitive school and you are expected to do some of the legwork and research yourself, as an ADULT. I jumped through all the hoops successfully, without getting hung up on anything, and I was applying to arguably their most competitive department/school. Grow up, negative reviewers, and take responsibility for yourselves. The people at admissions have been wonderful and helpful to me always, more so than I could ask for.

As an applicant and a recently admitted student, I have been misinformed 3 times. The first they told me not to send in transcripts(when they were needed by a deadline), then they gave me the wrong deadline to turn in my final high school transcripts, and a month ago they told me that my immunization forms have been check marked off. These forms are needed for orientation in 2 days. Problem is I just checked my profile and the forms were never processed. Nothing but misinformation.

Doesn't seem to know how to evaluate people.

I am trying to cancel a tour, and cannot seem to locate a person. Other universities have more personal touches for new admissions questions. I really respect your trying to handle all of your business digitally, but it is quite impersonal, and a bit of an off-put.

I have never been to the actual admissions office on campus but I have communicated with staff via email and phone. I have found them to be incredibly rude and treat you like you're wasting their time. I had a lot of legitimate questions in regards to transferring from an out of state university to Washington. I was treated like I didn't matter and that all answers can be found on the website (no, they cannot). When I called the receptionists was very pleasant but the admissions adviser I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional. He never introduced himself or even gave his name. He didn't interact with me over the phone all he said was okay go ahead and uh huh. His whole tone was that of being uninterested and rude. I'm very disappointed with the staff of this school so far.
