It's my alma mater. I was not awarded 1 penny in need based funds, so they get no $ from me now. It makes me mad that the accused german pervert ruined the psych. Dept. That info remains forever. Numerous internationally known researchers left due to the accused German pervert. Now a letter signed by over 300 professors around the nation is advising young people not to attend The u of r. Seligman needs to be fired! The psych dept always had issues as far as i'm concerned: looking down their noses at Psy.D. programs. News for you: most people do not conduct research! I provide the fed gov with valuable service thanks to having a Psy.D., & I am paid exactly the same rate as MDs providing the same service! I think having gone to the U of R helped get me into my Psy.D. program, but I do not think the u of r & their psych dept, now a pariah in university circles, was any better than a SUNY school. Thank goodness my Webster, N.Y. parents paid my full tuition & all expenses while I was attending the u of r. & it was by earning my Psy.D. & being fortunate to have made great work connections that I was given the opportunity to be awarded a very lucrative Fed. Gov. contract. My BA from the u of r had nothing to do with it. I could have earned an = BA from a SUNY school that does not have a now tarnished reputation due to the accused German pervert. Get rid of him & Seligman so the university community can heal & move past the alleged abuses. If the u of r fires Seligman & the accused German pervert & comes out with a very strong zero tolerance enforced policy & announces a Dean & special office for woman & sexual minorities harassment & concerns, the university might transform into a beacon for ladies & men to attend rather than a place to avoid like a cancer on the Rochester society. The courses are difficult and prepare you for the real world where nothing is fair. However, I did meet many great people who i established a strong bond with thanks to the difficult circumstances of studying at this institution. Really does toughen you up. Wouldn't exchange my experience at this place for a million dollars and wouldn't do it again for a million dollars. Ever better.

Great people and great university to work and study. One of the top 100 universities in the world does come that easily. Beautiful campus and a medical center just next to the main campus. The biggest employer in Rochester.

University of Rochester is great place to study . my facebook friend shared pics hir daughter got scholarship from Pakistan. so Internationally its sign of harmony and peace. good luck students here

The leadership here condones sexual harassment of graduate students by their professors. Just look up Florian Jaeger.

It's not all that bad bear there is crime is crime in most major cities and this blacklivesmatter thing is just knock it off because every life matters I'm pretty sure that I've been victimized to buy black people as well as whites but let's not keep stats on everything let's continue to try to make the planet a better place for us all

Crime is high around that school and if you are white expect to be robbed by black individuals. Check out crime stats around that area. Full of black on white crime. The school doesn't care about white people, only the ideology of black victimization. Look up on how they are gonna start celebrating the blm. I guess it pays to be a criminal.

Campus has a good amount of green space, buildings are pretty well designed. Dorms could use some work, but overall I liked the campus. I can't speak towards how the academics are, as I just visited the campus, but the school seems to be pretty good.
