Pretty cheap but not cheap enough to justify the bad haircut. I said just above my shoulders and she cut it to above my chin and then charged me $18 for it. Probably fine for men’s cuts but women should avoid this place.

Just had a terrible experience on 22nd Nov 2017 ( I was so looking forward for this thanksgiving break). I got my cut from this young guy with glasses and tattooed. He told he recently joined in October 2017. When I tried to show him the pic of how I wanted the cut, he showed me one of his samples and seemed like he understood what I wanted. However, after spending 15 mins or so on my hair, he shows me the mirror and it was not even close to what I showed him or his own sample. I tell him that I need a bit more shorter and told I want the gradient layer and fade. On this he picks up the trimmer and rolls all over my head making it an even ugly cut. Again shows the mirror, I say that's not what I wanted. On that He rudely says, "I have other people on queue waiting. "
I had my last cut from the same place by Catherine and she was amazing. This guy ruined my hair as well as my thanksgiving.
I wish I could give no stars at all for this mean haircut. I request the owners who have been running this shop since decades to personally handle this mean and rude staff they have hired. I had to catch a flight for thankgiving visit to my family soon after my haircut so couldn't really stay on the ground and handle it on my own. This guy can hurt the business repo and image really bad.
Again, I have been always coming to the same shop since couple of months and never had this complaint.report this review -

I was super concerned when I walked in. The staff didn't seem that friendly and there was little talking about what I actually wanted. However my hair cut was great and it was the best beard trim I could ever ask for.
I would only suggest that they are more friendly and welcoming. Having a stranger touch your beard can be quite scary when you don't know their skill level. I took a risk and it paid off but it they could reduce the risk by actually talking about the process and what is to be expected.report this review -

You get the basics here; a decent haircut. Very friendly staff, just don't expect anything near extravagant. Very affordable haircut, though

I have been getting my hair cut here since the haircuts were four dollars (they are now eight dollars). Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it is worth it. The barbers here are friendly and make you remember the good old days and old fashioned barber shops.

Decent place to get a haircut for men. Reasonably priced. The price went up from $6 to $8, but still not bad. The barbers here are pretty friendly and seem experienced.

I go here as a regular now. Kent is my barber and I highly recommend him! He is great and amazing with hair cuts! I am very happy with the results every time:) EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY AND HAPPY:) I love the price because Its very affordable and I am able to tip higher! I just love going here. Thank you University Barbers!!

I've been going to the University Barber Shop for many years. Reasonable prices, always get a great cut and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

I've been coming here with my two sons for about 17 years. Cathy cuts our hair each time. We call ahead to let her know we're coming and she gets us in & out real quick. Always a good cut! It's a great value, so why go anywhere else.

Shorty is the man - being going to him for years to get a good cut. Most recently he was all booked so last minute I got a trim from Deniz which was top notch. Add in the convenient location and sweet jams and you've got a great shop. Thanks for the good times, folks - you'll see me in another 2 weeks!

I wish I didn't have to rate it so low, as I've been having my hair cut here for over a year and it has been great. Most of the guys there did a good job of interpreting what I wanted and they were nice. Today however, it was a different story. They were busy, which was fine, but after the forty five minute wait I sat down in the chair and described what I wanted. Now, my haircut is hardly anything complex. Short on the sides, a little longer on the top, and the part cut in.
The woman behind the chair told me that would cost $16, twice as much as their normal fair and twice as much as I have been charged literally every other time I've been there. I complained, she said that she couldn't charge me the normal price because having the part cut in makes it a "specialty haircut."
I personally find it preposterous to double rates just for having the part cut, something that takes less than a minute. If this changes I will be happy to go back, but for the meantime I will be going elsewhere.
