Fun times! Small group of us showed up a little late and a lot loud but we seemed to fit right in the vibe already there. Good drinks. Good service too for so late at night.
Food is just kind of okay. Location in Oakhurst neighborhood is pleasant and quiet. On nice days the real draw is the patio, particularly on weekends and when other events take place in Oakhurst.
Very friendly staff and incredibly family friendly. The food is mediocre bar grub at best though. Really need to step it up with the quality of the food.
On the two occasions I have visited this restaurant, our service by the waiting staff was sub-par. They always had some excuse, but we waited extremely long periods of time for our orders to be taken and to receive our food. The food was decent but nothing to brag about. There was definitely no "wow" factor that will make me return. It's quite sad considering the fantastic location of the restaurant.
Glad they changed their menu, they have a little bit of everything. Great service, decent beer list and fun atmosphere.
Great for parties and a staple for Oakhurst.
Great service. Good food. Good beer selection. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of outside seating.
The food is excellent and the enviroment very relaxing. However, service is slow and a bit annoyong. However, the overall setting soothes any issues.
Neighborhood staple. Haven't had one thing on the menu that I didn't like. Craft beer, good people and service, and a great view of Oakhurst.
Cool place. Cool people. Good beer selection. Only one problem. There beer is always watered down or flat. Paying 6 or 7 dollars for a beer is not worth it. Do not go here for beer.
A quirky, local restaurant in Oak Hurst. It's a trendy restaurant in a trendy area with other restaurants. Here's what they do good: Burgers, beer, well drinks. What they are weak on: being quick. You do not go here if you are in a hurry. It's a poplular spot because it has one of the best patios in Decatur.
Great variety in menu, fresh food, very friendly and efficient staff, and great prices. Nice kids options. Plenty of outdoor seating. Great people watching spot in the heart of Oakhurst.
Great patio. Good selection of beers. Typical bar food. Good burgers.
I can walk to this place. Good food and friendly atmosphere. Kid and dog friendly. Love the chicken arugula salad.
I have been a Universal Joint patron since it first opened. The food is average bar food; wouldn't eat there unless I was already there drinking, with the exception of the burgers, which are very good regardless. The quality of the other items seems to vary depending on who cooks them, which isn't good in an industry with such a high turnover rate. The ambience of the patio is awesome, especially in the summer, and most of the time, the staff is friendly and helpful. I live about 200 yards away from this place, so i see it more often than anyone with the exception of the employees. The demographic is about 87% White, with the patrons being mostly families, and professionals who are 30+. I rated the Ujoint 3 stars because the food is inconsistent, it closes much too early, and there is little to no cultural diversity.
