All the latest and greatest stuff. No out dated clearance rack stuff. Only the good stuff. Defiantly the only place i get my beauty products from.

Worst hair and makeup experience of my life!

I sent this message to customer support and hoped to have it resolved, but management has never tried to contact me regarding a solution.

I recently visited my local Ulta store for my hair and makeup appointment for a work function I was attending that night. I had booked the appointments through the app, which said it would take 2 hours 30 mins for the partial highlights, cut and style and 40 mins for the makeup. The estimated cost was to be $200. When greeted by the stylist (Irene), she told me I would need full highlights. I instructed her that I wanted my hair to be belayage, and that I needed to be finished by 4:30pm (including makeup)I said ok to the full highlights, trusting her judgement (but she did not tell me how much extra money it would cost or time it would take). She began the service at 1pm, then proceeded to leave bleach in my hair with just the lower section of my hair done for about an hour while she finished another client. At this stage I was ready to walk out, and was extremely unhappy with the service. Next, she did not mention about needing a root touch up until she was half way through bleaching my hair, then I asked if she could touch up and she did that for me. By this time, 3 hours had gone by, she washed out the bleach and toned it, then told the makeup girl that she had to leave now, as her shift was over (4pm) and she would have to take over cutting, styling and applying my makeup. I said to cancel the makeup and just get my hair done, as it was still wet and still needed to be cut and styled. The makeup artist then cut my hair by picking up random pieces of hair and snipping them with scissors, then blow dryed my already fried hair from the overdeveloped bleach application without a heat protectant. I then realized now that my hair was dry, that I didn’t actually have belayage ends like I wanted, but very dull full highlights, up to almost my scalp. I left with flat straight and lifeless hair, no makeup and ended up having to pay $250 for a service I was not happy with and took 4 hours to do, without even getting my makeup or hair styled how I asked. When checking out, the staff were chatting with each other, rather than helping me and I asked if they could please help me checkout as I was in a hurry, one made a nasty remark, with a smug voice saying “oh she’s in a hurry!” I did not have time to discuss my service or cost as it was almost 5pm.
I did not leave a tip for either and will never return to Ulta for a purchase of any kind.

Nice selection but inconsistent quality and service. I've been to this location a few times and typically can get what I need. However, a few months ago I bought a Tarte mascara and when I got into my car to put some on, I saw that it had been used. Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes mascara comes in a thick tube wrapped in a faux leather case with prominent edges that line up when the tube is closed. I saw immediately that the edge on the wand did not line up with the edge on the tube, which probably meant the tube had been opened before and was not closed all the way. When I opened the tube and pulled the wand out there was an eyelash stuck on the on the brush! I went back onto the store and was offered an exchange right away. I figured the bad experience was a one-time thing, but recently I was sold a very used bottle of foundation. I went in to get a new bottle of Estee Lauder Double Wear. I asked the woman who was helping me for my usual shade and I also asked if I could take home a small sample of the next shade darker because I would be getting a spray tan for my upcoming wedding and wanted to be sure my foundation matched. She refused to make me a sample but said she could "color match" me and I could buy a bottle of the darker shade for $42. I explained that a color match wouldn't do any good since I don't have the spray tan yet and I was hoping to just get a tiny sample of the next shade darker to help blend with my usual color. She still refused saying they don't do samples-only color matching- and suggested I try a bronzer instead. I was annoyed because I've been purchasing this product for over a decade and this was the first time someone clearly did not want to help me. The next day I opened my foundation and saw that it was used. There was foundation everywhere inside the lid and all around the neck of the bottle. It's obvious that whoever returned this product had used it several times and that Ulta put it back on the floor. There's no way I was putting it on my face so I called the store and said I wanted to exchange for an unopened bottle. The woman on the phone said they sold out of my shade. She was apologetic and offered to order my shade and make me "a bunch" of samples to hold me over for my wedding and until my order came in. I appreciated this but wondered why I was refused a sample just a day earlier. I went over to Nordstrom for a new bottle of my foundation and when I mentioned that I was getting a spray tan, the Nordstrom beauty advisor offered to give me samples of several darker shades. The Nordstrom beauty advisor also informed me that makeup returns are never resold. Having received much better service elsewhere, I probably won't be making a purchase from Ulta again.

So this review is for Deanna, the skin specialist at this location..... OMG, she is amazing!! Not only is she nice, super welcoming, FUNNY and knowledgable, but she does a great luxury microdermabrasion facial!!! I have never experienced anything like it! I had some extra money to spare and decided to get one on a whim and I honestly can say I have never had such a great experience for a paid cosmetology service in my life. My skin is brighter, healthier looking, hydrated... the list goes on. She’s like the whole package, I highly recommend her. Thank you so so much!!

Ulta is a great one stop shop for all of your beauty needs. In the past, employees haven't been all that great but just yesterday stopped by to grab some makeup and was helped by a very helpful salesperson who was kind and patient.

Matilda is the Bomb! I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut and style my hair. She is also the go to person in all areas of beauty!

Love, love, love ulta! They are your one stop shop for all beauty needs. I come here for all of my beauty purchases from high end to drug store brands. You receive great perks the more you spend! I also highly recommend their hair services, brow services and getting a dermoligica service.

Nice location next to a lot of other great shopping. It's hidden away in a shopping section so you can't see it from the road. Your typical Ulta store, salon, makeup sections, perfumes, etc.

If you're looking to get color done at the salon, Katherine is excellent. She can handle any color (I currently have a purple to pink ombré)! My boyfriend gets his haircut by Anna and she's great too!

I can't comment on the service much outside of the salon as I usually know what it is I'm looking for and where to find it. The only thing that really sucks is I don't think they price match their own website which doesn't make any sense! I feel that's the fault of corporate maybe and not this particular store.
