We took my inlaws and two year old son and had a good time. They definitely are only doing these tours to help support the elephant as it clearly their passion. It was an enjoyable and educational afternoon. Worth the trip.

I am so thankful for this experience. You’ll never fully understand until you’re up close and personal with these majestic creatures. The staff is amazing. The owner inherited the sanctuary from her grandfather. The elephants are her children. She runs the facility with her sons and daughter in law. She’s very forthcoming and educational about poaching/hunting (THERE IS A DIFFERENCE) and what it is doing to the population of elephants. I got the VIP experience. I was given time with Patty, who is very friendly! I got to bathe her, feed her, and be up close and personal. There was no time limit, however I only spent 5-10 minutes as I know Patty is very busy (no animal/person wants to be a selfie queen). But I appreciate their efforts. They receive NO government funding. Which is insane! They have several other animals on property whom they have rescued. They are doing an AMAZING thing for animals and mankind a like. I would like to personally thank Two Tails Ranch for making my birthday year beyond special!

This place was amazing and enlightening. Patricia and her family take good care of the animals and you can feel their passion for elephants and all animals— down to a spider that was a concern for a little boy In The audience. She made you want to take better care of your animals and speak up for wildlife. I appreciated the lesson on the difference between wildlife activists and wildlife conservatism.

If you have any doubt about going — don’t. It was well worth the drive and the time. I wish now we would have done the entire program and spent more time with the elephants. They will be gone soon and the chance won’t exist. Don’t hesitate to go!!!!

Fabulous place! Patricia offered a wealth of information in an interesting, informative and humorous way. Her great love for the animals is quite obvious. She comes from 9 generations of caring for extinct animals. Absolutely a must see!

Wonderful place. The owner Patricia keeps it real with the vast knowledge she has. Did the extreme tour. Well worth it. Was able to touch and feel a beautiful creature that gave me an excellent experience that I would have never had otherwise. Thank you Two tails!!

This was a dream of a lifetime❗️I’ve loved elephants as long as I can remember and riding one was at the top of my bucket list. This is a fantastic place and the owners truly have dedicated their lives to taking care of these majestic animals.

Emailed at 10 pm the night before and she made space for us a 11 am the next day.

Well cared for animals and we loved everything.

We loved our visit here. Owner, though a little short on t phone, loves her animals, cares and tends to them. Good environment, good display/show, took questions, (was polite for even t stupid ones). Didn't mind t prices and extras, she needs money to run t ranch, I don't see her getting rich. Will definitely return.

This was one of the most memorable day trips I've ever had. Very relaxing. You get to watch these animals up close while they feed, paint a picture etc. You are allowed to feed them. They are very expensive to maintain. These are Indian elephants that will be extinct in the wild within 7 years . One reason is PETA who has successfully banned the importation of these animals from zoos overseas who can no longer care for them.These elephants are not mistreated. They like all animals like to be involved, contribute and have enrichment in their lives. For $50.00 you can take a very short ride on one of these massive animals.This sanctuary needs donations for a 20 acre enclosure for their elephants to graze. Be sure to make reservations for the famous Ivy House restaurant in Williston for lunch before your elephant visit.

I visited the Two Tails Ranch on June 30th with my wife. I really enjoyed the visit and the extreme encounter we took part in. Patricia and her family does a great job caring for these wonderful animals. I would completely recommend this to everyone who has any interest in elephants. I look forward to visiting again next year.

There are sanctuaries where people can help tend to and take care of animals.. pet them and admire. This is not one of them. Many people assume that riding elephants is safe due to their large frames, but it is not! They have extremely fragile spines.. riding them causes serious injuries over time. They also train these elephants here to do tricks as if they are in the circus.. this is no sanctuary.

I too like so many others felt wild animals should be left in the wild so they can live a long happy life frolicking in nature. However I have been educated and now realize an elephant in the wild will have a very difficult and most likely very short life. In part because there is no wild for elephants as man has taken over their habitat and because the people of Africa and Asia would rather kill an elephant for their ivory or meat than protect them.

By visiting a place such as this Elephant Refuge you can learn real information about this fantastic animal and truly appreciate them. It is obvious the people who run this refuge are not getting rich and living in fancy homes. It is obvious they love what the do, have a great understanding of what is going on in the world regarding elephants and have created a true sanctuary for them.

Before anyone criticizes they should visit the ranch. It will be a fantastic and possibly life changing experience.
