I have always loved stopping in here to look around! Their inventory always has unique items that can't be found anywhere else. I also love their little book corner, you can sometimes get books for as cheap as 10 cents each!

I have bought several great things from this shop BUT unfortunately I've had a couple really bad experiences too. I think it all boils down to the owner. One recent experience is: they had 2 chairs made of pine with bright blue cushions (remember them), they were there for months (not super comfortable to sit in but could be fixed). We waited for the last markdown and tried to put them on hold the evening before the markdown, naturally their policy wouldn't let us (which is understandable). I arrived the next morning and was the first person in the store. The chairs still had the tags on them, I told owner I wanted to buy them, she said that they were sold already and I said how is that possible I'm the first person here. She tells me someone purchased them over the phone last night and she forgot to take the tags off. I think that was a big fat lie. They have sat there for 3 months and someone decided to pay the extra $80 that the next day markdown would have netted them. Baloney!! She sold them to someone without them being there. She makes the policy and breaks them too.

My family would often stop in and see what new items that came into Twice New. On July 2 we stopped in looking for a sectional couch but found a very nice table and chairs that was going down to the last mark down on July 4th. I ask one of the workers there given that they are closed on the 4th if we could get the price markdown on the 3rd which she said we could given the next markdown was on the 4th and they were closed. At that time we went home took out our old table and chairs arranged friends to come over on the 3rd to help with moving the new table set in.

When we arrived to pick up the table on the 3rd we were told they couldn't honor the price we were promised yesterday and was told sorry that one of there employees said they could do this. They offered the 10% discount that was running store wide but that still was $80 more than we were told we could buy it for the day prior. I can think of many ways they could of had good customer service given the error was on stores part but the owner didn't even try to think out of the box. I know we will never step foot into this store again and recommend the dozen other consignment shops within a 10-miler radius.
