  Decommissioned in 2001, this cathedral to aviation by Eero Saarinen fills you with the pride & optimism the aviation industry had in the '60s. Preservation efforts saved it from the wrecking ball.

  This is a Saarinen masterpieces. I love the texture of the wooden forms used to cast the concrete of the main structure. It looks smooth from a distance, but has an amazing organic texture up close.
