Due to dangerous wind chill warnings and local school announcements the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Tribe will be opening 2 Hours Late tomorrow morning, Monday, February 25th, To allow guardians time to situate the little ones and the sun to rise. Seems Mother Nature isn’t quite through with us yet. To those traveling tonight, please use extreme caution and watch weather/road reports.

Due to the continued dangerously cold wind chills, there will be no work for the Turtle Mountain Tribe, tomorrow, February 8th, 2019. Please be responsible and use the best judgment with potential life threatening winter conditions.

Thursday February 7th, there will be no day to day business for the Turtle Mountain Tribe. Tribal employees will have the option to come in and work if deadlines and/or reporting needs to be finished because of deadline. Tribal finance will be open after 10:00 am to distribute medical or checks pending (please use north finance door if picking up checks) essential personnel in (maintenance and Road Dept for example) please contact your supervisor with any questions of call in or essential status. The Tribe is also working on an emergency status plan for winter storm and wind chill policy so these decisions will be more uniformed in the future. Again, thank you for your patience and always use the best judgment with potential life threatening winter conditions.

Due to an elevated Winter Storm forecast and Road Conditions, The Turtle Mountain Tribe will not be open for regular hours tomorrow Monday, 2/4/2019. I realize there are some with deadlines and the option to go in is available, please use the west side door and check in with security if you decide to go in. Again, please use caution and best judgment if deciding to travel anywhere.

Turtle Mountain Tribe will start 2 hours late tomorrow, Monday February 4th. Seems Mother Nature isn’t quite done with us. Due to no Travel Advisory until 6 am. If you feel you need to travel, please use extreme caution and remember, if you have a hard time with visibility, the men and women out clearing roads in Plow trucks see even less. Drivers will be out early clearing as quick as possible and we all appreciate your patience.

Based on the National Weather forecast for Thursday, January 31st. And the extreme wind chill warning still in effect, the TMBCI Tribe will be 2 hours late. Regular operations start at 10 am and it looks like we will climb out of these extreme temps. Again, thank you to the community for your patience and understanding this week and still use caution while deciding to be outside for any reason.

With the recent forcast of -45 Degree wind Chill... The TMBC Tribe will be closed for day 2 day business Tuesday Jan. 29th. and Wednesday Jan. 30th. Essential personnel in Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll please contact the Director of your respective Departments to ensure payroll and P.O. Checks go through (including medical). Road Department and Tribal Maintenance will also be on essential staff and emergency call in. Tribal Signers will also either be in the office or available by call. Thank You for your patience and remember to use extreme caution when deciding to venture out. There will be personnel at the building for anyone who decides they need to be at their office (deadlines).

Due to road conditions/weather, Tmbci Tribe will be running 2 hours late Monday, January 28th..... if you find that you need to travel, be aware that the Road Department will be clearing roads and use caution when encountering those vehicles.
