We toured the open house and were very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. Most builders use cheap-end studs. They purchase the higher end and eco- friendly lumber. The flashing was also applied in spots were most mass build companys would overlook. There were many more details I was impressed with and would definitely purchase from them if I was going tiny.

Visited from New York and had wanted to know more about tiny houses, specifically Tumbleweed. We had initially scheduled a tour for 11am on a Saturday. When my wife and I called to let them know we would be late, they were very accommodating and rescheduled us into the 1pm without a problem. The tour itself was informative and we were introduced to the entire manufacturing process. We were shown the inside of each model in a variety of stages of completion. Our experience allowed us to get all our questions answered. For the growing niche world of Tiny Houses, Tumbleweed proved to have the best interest of the customer in mind. If we decide to venture down the road of investing in a Tiny House, it will be through Tumbleweed.

they took our refund and (in our view) fraudulently represented a loan approval that never came to fruition, we lost our $20,000 deposit back in May

    STAY FAR FAR AWAY PEOPLE

I wish I could give 0 stars, absolutely not worth anyone's time or money. Cost us $10,000 with no house to speak of. Good luck.

I traveled to Colorado from Florida a few weeks ago mainly to take a closer look at Tumbleweed Tiny houses. Meeting with a very knowledgeable salesperson that had also designed one of the most recent models after touring the manufacturing facility was a very worthwhile experience. The tour was comprehensive and the salesperson was very informative.

I came to Colorado Springs for the weekend and wanted to check out Tumbleweed tiny house. I had consulted with their sales team already on setting up / customization etc. for the FALLON model. so I thought it would be great to see them in person. I arrived at 1:30pm Saturday 7/1/17. Both the website and their door says it opens from 11am to 3pm. There was no one at the front desk. I waited for 5 minutes and the front desk person showed up just to tell me I had "missed the 1pm tour". I explained I'm from out of town and is in process of purchasing. I was wondering if she can still take me through since it says they are supposed to be open until 3pm. She just said "sorry" and closed the door on me. Honestly, I don't know who this person is but they just lost their sales.

After reading Mr. Knights story I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I don't need empty promises on a project this big. Not returning calls is definitely a warning sign!

An investor and I placed a large refundable deposit on a Tumbleweed Tiny House on March 13, 2017 for a tiny home hotel opportunity in Austin, Texas. We based our investment on the lease terms and loan terms advertised by Tumbleweed. The deposit and sale were clearly specified to be contingent on mutually agreeable lease terms with the lessor as well as financing at a rate of 5% of less.

Approximately 2 weeks after placing the deposit, we finally received the lease terms and they were significantly different from what was advertised. A projected return of positive 30% went to negative 37%. In addition, Tumbleweed was not able to secure a loan for the other investor and me. As a result, we requested that Tumbleweed resolve these items so that we could get the advertised lease and financing.

After discussing with Tumbleweed, on April 5, 2017, it became apparent that we would not be able to get the lease and loan to work. As a result, I requested and was approved for a full refund of our initial deposit on that day.

It is now May 10, 2017 and we still have not received a refund. In fact, we have been told that Tumbleweed cannot even provide a timeframe on when we could expect to receive a refund. The Director of Sales is in charge of the refund and she will not even take my calls unless I call from other phone numbers. Every time I have talked to her, she has promised to call me back later in the day with a firm date that I would receive the refund. Not once has she ever called me back or called me at all. Over a month out, I still do not have a refund or even any timeframe on when I could expect one.

Tumbleweed has effectively stolen my money. I have no idea if or when they intend to send me a refund. I never met any of the individuals at Tumbleweed or saw any of their products. At this point, I am very concerned this entire operation is a fraud.
