Not a place I would recommend~ The food was overpriced, the flavor was not that great, the portion was a joke! The waitress was a bit nasty maybe her day was bad who knows. Only 2 other people in the place should have been our first clue. What I do know is for 2 people dinner which wasn't much chicken and mac n cheese no flavor and the sand which a french dip I think they forgot the meat, the fry's were deep fried grease. For what we got it should have been cost about 15 dollars instead of 30. Overprice. So if you driving through this neck of the woods don't eat here. Just drive to the next town. Because breakfast at another place wasn't any better. Disappointed.

I have been going to Truants Tavern for more than 10 years. This year I brought my brother and sister-in-law and it was the worst food I have ever had. What's worse is I was bragging about how awesome the food was and what a great place to go. The bartender was excellent! I felt bad for her because she knew something wasn't right. The buffalo chicken was cold and it flaked apart like fish; obviously freezer burn. The onion rings were so greasy you had squeeze the oil out. My brother and husband were dying for a steak and cheese so they both ordered one. They were aweful!!! The meet was not shaved it sort of tasted like chunks old stewing beef. The bread was so soggy that when you attemp to pick it up it fell apart and felt discusting like it was soaking in water. The whole meal tasted discusting. The bartender removed the discusting food from our bill and could not apologize enough. I will attempt to try again next year but if you continue to serv food like this I don't expect Truants to be open next year. That's sad.

Tired, worn out place that's poorly run and managed. Restaurant was less than a 1/4 full at 5:30, hostess sending people away saying 45 min wait. Waitresses were grumpy and snippy. Food was substandard, I sent mine back as the steak was like rubber. First time there and it will be my last.

Great food and atmosphere without the wait of other places in the area. The staff is awesome too.

Best eats in Lincoln! Been eating here nearly a decade and the quality has never dropped. Best onion rings in New England, so thing and addictive. Great staff and interesting atmosphere. Outdoor dining available in the warmer months.

Worst service I have ever received. Waited over an hour 1/2 for food when the place was not busy at all. Will never go back there again even though my wife's fried chicken was tasty and moist. Will also say the waitress and the hole staff were pleasant and I do not blame them for the kitchen staff being totally clueless and my steak burnt to a crisp. You failed miserably as a restaurant and should be ashamed of your selfs when it takes over 2 hours for get a family of 4 with tired miserable kids out the door for a simple meal. Your a joke!!!!!!!!!

Had a great time playing pool with the locals. The beers were ice cold of course and the hospitality was great. We will definitely be back again next year!

All of the staff we interacted with were really nice and friendly. The atmosphere was nice too, a nice large screen tv was in our area.

However, none of the food was fresh. The mashed potatoes were from a box and the "fresh vegetable of the day" was frozen corn. My salmon was certainly not fresh caught. Everything was bland, but kinda expensive. I wouldn't go back.

Had lunch here last weekend. Ordered a side of fries which cost $8. Absolutely ridiculous to charge almost the same amount for a SIDE of fries as you do for a sandwich. If you're going to charge that much at least have the item on the menu so customers can avoid being robbed. Bartender just shrugged her shoulders when asked about the astronomical price for a simple order of French fries. Don't eat here much better places in town to go for better food at reasonable prices.

    Great Food!
We ordered chicken parmigiana and they split in two plates.
My son got a salmon with garlic butter. It was really tasty !
Lili was our waitress! Really polite! Thanks !
5 starts for the food and 3 for cleanliness... average 4 👍😀

This place was awful. We were looking for a new restaurant to go to when we're in the mountains, so we gave them a try. Big mistake. I ordered the home style meatloaf. I was shocked when I seen what the waitress put in front of me. This was a dried out brick of meat that was clearly days old and microwaved. You could tell just by looking at it. Same with the mash potatoes, cold with lumps. Never again. People, save your money and head down the street to Stacks Roast beef!
