Left my house looking like this after they replaced the roof and then it caused these leaks.
Called twice in two weeks, they took my info each time, then no call back at all to schedule an aptm. Just unresponsive and unprofessional. The next company scheduled me on the first call and was at my home in 3 days.
Despite knowing it's a violation of state law, they still demand a 50% deposit be paid (and not held in trust but collected) in advance of material being delivered. Even if we ignore sb38 which passed over 12 years ago, their contract would be in violation of the Colorado consumer protection act. These guys are instance scammers that tried to coach me what to say to my insurance company. They even put on their contract they intend to violate PPRBD code and install shingles on a flat roof then have the audacity to say they won't warranty leaking from their gross negligence .
What they didn't know is I deal with contractual and insurance law, and I know from experience what they were asking me to do and say is blatant fraud.
Not even tip-toeing the line of legality to get their business.
I had a good experience working with Total Roofing. They were timely and told me when things were going to change or when they were on track. They cleaned up great and they honored my price for months when things were unknown. I only had difficulty with 1 thing- after 1 month we had an inspector tell us the attic heat was too hot and ventilation had to be addressed. Total Roofing does not validate attic heat or ventilation requirements. I learned they are not certified to do so but they were more than willing to get me an estimate and research a fix. We will still use them in the future.
Thought they were trustworthy. I fully paid my bill on time for all work. I just got notice of intent (from the supplier) to file a lien against my home because Total Roofing did not pay them for the materials. Total is "sorting it out" but the supplier informed me that they haven't made any payments since Oct. Now I may need a lawyer, even though I paid my bill.
