Very authentic homestyle Mexican. Best Pico de Gallo I have ever had. Atmosphere could be a bit warmer though and is BYOB which are the only reasons for the lost star.

Okay.. this place is very good. Food is delicious and the service was good. A little close on the seating arrangements but the clientele was considerate enough to allow for a very nice evening.

We used to come here a while back when we lived closer. What a pleasant surprise return visit. The place is all new but the food is still great. I think they figured out they could raise prices and they did but not too high. Byob still. Service was fast and friendly.

Probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Shared the nachos supreme with my husband, overall not good, the ground beef was watery and the chips were soggy. And they charged us $4 because we shared it. For the same amount of food.

Great energy, really good food, happy wait staff. Only drawback is parking on a busy night. Tasty..don't miss out.

Because this restaurant is in Princeton it is highly overpriced. The food here is good, but is actually really mediocre for Spanish food. Nothing special. Although the service is pretty good.

A little known secret is that you can get great tasting authentic Spanish food from nearby Trenton that puts this place to shame.

I would personally recommend La Parilla Guatemalan steakhouse (a place in Trenton I have gone to many times to celebrate special events and holidays) But I guess the neighborhood really makes the difference to some people.

Food is very good here. The salsa has a nice kick to it. I had 2 hard shell tocos, they put way too much lettuce on it. I take a star off cause it's cash only. They have an atm inside. I do recommend that you try it.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, great decorations, and the local vibe are what really bring Tortuga's charm. The food is also really good. The California burrito is amazing. It's not the kind of burrito you eat with your hands, it's more like a Tex/Mex food soup and it's great.

I've been to Tortugas many times and it's always a pleasant experience. The chips and salsa is amazing, and I've never been let down by any of the food options. It's also very convenient that it is BYOB.

Great food. A little pricy, but you are in Princeton. BYOB is a plus. Service is fine, but I understand some of the other reviews who find the service cold. Servers are more reserved, less jazzy.

Locally owned, authentic Mexican made to order in a quaint, off the beaten path venue. I've been coming here for over 20yrs and the food is truly enticing. I've deducted 1 star as they only accept cash, the prices have risen over the years, and no reservations. The food is incredible however.
