  The cheese curds were good and they had little beers you could get for free with New Glarus tokens- but the food was only mediocre.
  
  It seems like the roux had broke for the Mac and cheese and the fry oil was in need of a change. Not bad but not the best either

  Had a really good tasting bloody mary, but wish there was an option for bed stick/ cheese (just had olive, mushroom, pickle). Nice outdoor back patio with an area for dogs and an area to watch the game. Truffle fries were so good. My wife also had a grasshopper that was amazing in the warm weather.

  The back bar is quite nice. The rest of the bar restaurant is very sterile. It made me feel or think I was in a milk house or a food preparation room. The waitress was clearly overworked and this showed in the way she took orders and treated us and others.

  We enjoyed our burger and Indiana Pork. The pork was huge!!! Service was great. We made the mistake of ordering the Chocolate Chip Cookie. It sounded so good, BUT it came out tasting burnt. Bottom wasn’t black but close. Also took over 15 minutes since it is baked per order.

  Stopped for lunch during a girl's day out. Nice variety of menu options and drinks. Friendly service.

  Food was pretty good. Liked the catfish appetizer the best. Margarita was nothing special. Server Bridgette was awesome. If in this town and tired of Swiss stuff, I would recommend it

  I do not get her name but she had longish brown hair.
  
  The food was great. I had the prime rib sandwich. It was tender and juicy. It came with au jus and choice of fries, homemade chips or bean salad. I chose the fries. I have always got them in the past and they amazing.
  
  Now the reason for not a higher rating. The service.
  
  When I got there the woman came over and handed me a menu and asked what I would like to drink. She seemed pleasant. She came back and took my order with a smile. When my food came it was the same server. I am thinking, "What an awesome server I have." Does not sound so bad so far. Right? Then this is where the 3 star comes instead of the 4 or 5 star comes in.
  
  While I was eating she never once stopped to ask me how my dinner was or cared to ask if I needed another drink. She walked by my table at least 4 or 5 times to check on the couple that was sitting at another table but did not stop at mine either going to or coming back. So if you want to say that is 8 to 10 times she could of asked. She was more in a hurry to talk to the people at the bar. Another lady working there that was not my server asked if I cared for another drink. Noticing that my glass was empty. So she filled it for me. Then at server notice I was done she came back and then asked if I wanted another drink. How much sense does that make? She could not ask me the other 8 to 10 times but now when I am all done. Whatever.
  
  I have never had service like this before here and this just makes me upset to be ignored like that until it was time to get the bill and try to be all nice. Pathetic! I feel this might be my last time coming here at least for awhile if not for good.
  
  So the 3 stars are for the amazing food and for the server that was not mine. It could of been a for sure 4 if not a 5 if the service was better.

  Amazing food the fries were super good I would definately suggest going here if you are in new Glarus just be prepared for a long wait.

  Wow!!! I live in town, and I have friends who work here. This USED to be a great place. I even vouched for it when my friend felt a bad vibe. I've taken people here before, and I too good. Check my other reviews to see my dinning experiences when things go well.
  
  We were seated by two new people. One was training the other, but doing horribly. I was patient, until my 'water' came out with a mix of the wrong flavor when the new girl hit the wrong tab on the machine. I never got a new one, even after asking the owner. Yes, I know him; I live in town.
  
  We didn't even get solverware until the end of the meal, and a WHILE after asking. We were the first table seated on the patio, and the only ones without silverware. I was promised water several times from multiple servers, as we were passed around.
  
  The food is good. Has been. But when I had to go inside to get water, and the owner told me that I was wrong, we went to leave. I made him taste the 'water'. When he found that he was wrong, he yelled for me to leave; in front of everyone!
  
  The owner stood in my way as to intimidate me. He wouldn't let me leave until my friends barged through him.
  
  What treatment. My friends were ethnic, and they say that happens all the time. It has never been my experience in Wisconsin until now, WOW!!!!

  Star of the night Asher the bus boy, he worked as hard as three people and took the time to greet every table and stop what he was doing to say good night and thanks for coming. Give this kid a raise there are not a lot of youth like him these days!
  
  Our server Bridget was awesome when she had time for us. From reading the other reviews it sounds like this place is short staffed often. Food is good and atmosphere fantastic. We will be back, just be prepared to maybe wait a bit on your food.

  Stopped in this cute town on our way back home in Milwaukee. Decided to stop at this nice restaurant for dinner. I love the patio. It was spacious and wonderfully kept. My meal was excellent! I ordered the grilled shrimp and it was cooked perfectly! Both my daughters enjoyed their salads and buttered pasta meals. My boyfriend ordered the 1/2 rack ribs and not only were they really good, but the perfect amount! I also am a huge lover of Sangria. I try it at most bars and restaurants that we frequent. I have to say this was the BEST Sangria I have ever had. I loved that they also gave me a pint glass and not a little wine glass full. I couldn't help myself and had 2 glasses! The icing on the cake was a band setting up outside that played summer fest. We stayed a little longer to hear a bit. they were great! Our waitress and everyone else there were so friendly! I will go again when we take another road trip! Thanks for a great experience during our vacation!

  Great food and atmosphere! Friendly staff! But food took to long to get along with the fact that our waitress for slammed and couldn't get help from others that were slow! This is the reason for the 4 stars! Had to wait along time for our food after our appetizer and refill on drinks too! Thank goodness me and my wife had good company we met on the way to help us through!

  This place is quaint but nice. I had chicken tenders from the appetizer menu, and you can tell that the tenders are fresh, and home battered. I had the option to add a parmeasn garlic seasoning on them, and it was an excellent choice! My husband had the New Glarus Chili...a bit spicy for him, but also excellent. His wrap was fresh which was nice to see. We will recommend this place to anyone who visits New Glarus. Service staff was pleasant, and great hometown feel, which we appreciate.
