Tires are often good deal and the free alignment is good, but I have noticed an unfortunate marketing trend. While in the waiting room on 3 different occasions I heard the same sales pitch used on multiple customers. While I know that ball joints do wear out, I find it very hard to believe every customer on three different days needed thier ball joints replaced. Bad form, especially for the college girl they brought to tears by scaring her.

Even though I brought my own two mower tires in to be replaced on my existing tire / wheels, I was treated like the most important customer they could have. At the end of the day, they replaced my tires and I left incredibly happy. I’ve always chosen this place for my auto tires and this situation reinforces that decision. Thanks for all your help!

I decided to spend an unexpected snow day catching up on errands and "to do" items. On the list was a routine oil change, so I stopped by Tire Discounters in the Richmond Center. My regular mechanic runs a small business, so I didn't want to pester him with something as small as an oil change. About 30 minutes into the service, a worker at TireDiscounters came out to tell me that not only did I need oil, both rotors were damaged beyond repair, my struts leaked, my shocks were rusted and while one rear brake pad was "down to 3mm of use left, the other was down to metal to metal". Absolutely shocked, I asked him how the conditions of my car could deteriorate so quickly from my last oil change in October, when no mention was made of any issues or needed maintenance whatsoever. He assured me that for my safety, all these services were needed. The good news was, that with the 10% discount he gave me as a Madison County School teacher, he could fix everything that day for only $918.30.

As a single school teacher that is solely responsible for a house payment, grad school loans, and all other household bills, you can imagine how nauseous it made me at the thought of having to fork over an entire paycheck for services I didn't anticipate; I hadn't experienced any wobbling, shaking, shimmying, lurching, slamming or screeching of any degree while driving my car. So, I told him I could pay for the oil change, but would have to come back for any other work. He told me that he understood, but for safety precautions I needed to at least have my brake pads replaced, which they could also do that day for $336.00. I assured him I would consider it, but didn't want anything done other than the oil change.

After talking to friends in the community with similar experiences at this location, as well as my sister who sent me a very interesting and eerily similar Google review from 3 weeks prior at the same establishment, I called my own mechanic to see if he could pencil me in for a check up. He quoted me for new rear brake pads (they were down to 25% use on both) and a strut bearing plate. With labor, the bill will be $232.17.Long story short, I felt that this service tried to take advantage of a young, single woman to the tune of almost $1,000. I will not be visiting here again.

I bought tires here twice! Because the price was right. Since then I have come to understand where the price really is- in the time waiting for the services included in the price. I dread having to go to Tire Discounters for common upkeep.

However, yesterday was different. I was told the service would take 90 mins. From experience, I doubled that for reality's sake. The guy took my keys, pulled my truck into the bay immediately! And, unbelievably , it was done in an hour.

Y'all didn't check the spare. Why not? Luckily, I took my truck to another place for an oil change and that guy checked the tire pressure all around, including the spare.

While I was there a woman came in with her family. It happened that she was driving on unsafe tires. The clerk at the desk didn't help her to choose the best tire- only told her the price and the mileage rating. Why was the clerk not trained to talk about this? How are regular folks, with regular lives, supposed to know what to look for and how to choose?
Service is the thing you are selling (I hope!). Don't blow it. Be outstanding in your field!

Keep trying. I may buy the next set of tires from you. But service effectiveness and real life time estimates are a MUST!

Called to have rear brake pads and rotors changed. Was quoted $135, but after they did the estimate, claimed it would be $301. Waited an hour to hear the amount, and another thirty minutes to get my keys back. Do not recommend. Definitely want to look elsewhere if you’re looking for a decent price for an easy job.

This place is a joke. Said they could get me in quick and after 2 and a half hours passed, I left and took my business elsewhere. There are plenty of competitive places in town that cost just a little bit more. Don't waste your time here. Worst service I have ever experienced.

Josh was absolutely amazing. Affordable prices and he kept me informed the whole time about the status of my car. He absolutely went above and beyond for me as a customer. Best experience I've had. Will come back for any future needs.

I highly suggest not going here. If I could give zero stars I would. I dropped my car off for a rear brake job and they wrecked it doing a so-called test drive in the back parking lot. Although they are fixing the damage, when it came time to pay the bill I asked them what they were going to do for the continued inconvenience in which they responded that they would not take off anything. What a deal!!

Follow up 9/1/17, it has been 2 weeks, still don't have my car back, so the inconvenience of having to extend and deal with a rental continues. Also, I reached out to the tire discounter support 2 times now over 2 weeks ago, as they directed me to do in the response, still no response. This doesn't surprise me as the customer clearly isn't always right at this establishment.

I have been a customer since 2012 and I love the place, as well as any one can a mechanic shop. I have been building back and upgrading a Jeep TJ and have been in there at least 6 or so times this year for alignments after I upgrade parts or tire balancing when I got new wheels. My buddy's that build jeeps enjoy tire discounters as well. The great thing about alignments there is the price is right a they back it for 6 months as long as you don't change any major parts. I have bought tires there and had mechanic work done there, I must say they are great and very knowledgeable.

After hitting a bookshelf on 75 near exit 90b, I came here and they made a nightmare much more tolerable. The clerk that helped me was very kind, friendly, and sympathetic. They got my tire replaced and my rim fixed in under an hour at a very reasonable price. I hope that if I'm ever in a similar situation that any future repair shop is as nice as this one. I cannot give enough praise for this place.

If I could give this location more then 5 stars I probably would. I haven't had a reason to come here in awhile but I've always had good visits when I do. They're friendly and very helpful and I have noticed they answer all your questions you may have. Some of their services seem pricey but they will do a better job then other places. Their techs are a lot more knowledgeable and helpful then other places too.

Went to tire discounters in Richmond, had an awful experience with the store manager Travis. He results to violence when an issue doesn't go his way. Wanting to meet me outside to fight him. Very mismanaged when handling the situation. However would recommend other locations as the corporation is doing all they can to fix this matter. DO NOT GO HERE AND UPSET THE STORE MANAGER GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION.

Was having 1 tire mounted, had to wait well over an hour. They ended up not charging me. However, they let multiple customers go ahead of me, for a 5 minute job. I would have rather paid and not had to wait over an hour.

I went there to replace two tires that I ordered online. They told me that it might take from 2 to 2 and half hours. I left the car there and I waited 3 hourse and nobody called. I called them and they said that they had some issues with the car and it should be ready in 20 minutes so I went there and still not done. They took more that 4 hours to put two tires. The worst tires service and the employees are rude to each other and their attitude with the customer is not good. The last time I would go there. Also, they should have give me some discount for taking long time but instead of that they charged me the same amount.

I've purchased 2 sets of tires, had brakes done, oil changes, some repairs. Attention to detail is slack. Multiply time estimate by at least two. I get my tires balanced, rotated, checked here because it's free, not because I like them.
