Wilfredo has been trying to insult me since he first called me on the phone to inquire about tinting the sliding glass doors in his extra house on Duck Key. He first misquoted square footage (resulting in a $2,000 bid) , begged for a lower price, took two months to get back to me, added 18 extra windows once I was on the property to tint (the bid was for 23 windows), and then used a ladder and was on his hands and knees to inspect for flaw. Protocol is to stand 6' from the installation for inspection, as per the film manufacturer. Wilfredo also sent me to the BBB, and called my distribution company with whom I have worked for over 23 years. After photos, copies of texts, and further information was given to the BBB, I won the case. I am not obliged to be financially exploited for a customer's entertainment or anal retentive personality. I hope you all HAVE A NICE DAY.

I mistakenly hired this company to tint several sliding glass doors. It was a big job, approximately 500 sf. I chose them because they gave me the lowest quote at $5.00/sf., vs. $6.00 - $7.00 per sf. When Karen, the very unprofessional owner, came to do the job, she complaint about the glass window panes on top of 2 of our sliding glass window sections; wining that she had not included the panes in her estimate. So I gave her a $200.00 tip at the end, which I thought was pretty generous. When she finished the job, I noticed that in certain areas there were air pockets and warps in the tint film. Karen said not to worry, that those would go away in about a week. Well, a month went by and the air pockets & warps were still there. After calling Karen several times, she finally agreed to return, she came to look at the imperfections in the film, but said she couldn't fix them at the time because she had to go to lunch with a friend, and that she would return at a later time. After numerous phone calls and text messages, Karen finally said that she wouldn't return to fix the shoddy work she left behind.
Tint The Keys’ claim to fame is that they've been in business for over 20 years. The only way one can explain this is that it is very difficult to get any kind of work done in the Keys due to the shortage of labor and contractors, so there is not much of a choice or competition. My experience with Tint The Keys is a perfect example of the old saying: "you get what you pay for". If you are looking for window tinting in the Florida Keys, you will be well-advised to look elsewhere, even if you have to pay more.
