Me and my boyfriend went to Timberwood because I’ve been there previously and it was really good. So I really wanted him to try it. We walked in and the hostess who sat us was super nice. But we ended up waiting for like 15 minutes at our table. Nobody came over nobody talked to us nobody got our drink order. There were 2 other tables who were sat after us and the waiter that FINALLY came out had went to one of the other tables. After we’ve been sitting here for about 25 minutes now so we left. It was a pretty bad experience.

Pretty generic establishment. For the price, the food was really sub-par. I met some very lovely people while here though. 3 stars for my british dinner companions 2 Saturdays!

Always good service. Always good beer. Always good food. Great local restaurant and they deserve the success of being, in my opinion, the best place on the north end of town.

Excellent rotating beer selection, great food and service. Growler fills and beers to go are at supermarket prices, so you can get your beer shopping done while you dine. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE AWESOME BASEBALL CARD STYLE BEER MENU!

It was crowded because of a UVa football game. But the servers were on top of it all the way. Good Clint Eastwood Burger and Cuban sandwich. Very good beer selection. We had to eat in the bar which was loud because of the game.

Hostess and waitress were very friendly and welcoming. Liked the atmosphere in the dining room. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Wish we lived closer. Would definitely recommend.

It was okay. The place wasn't super crowded but service was still a little bit slow. My order wasn't prepared as indicated on the menu (and asked) and they did comp and replace the meal but it was allergy related so it was a little frustrating to uncover something mid bite.

I am always left feeling fulfilled and satisfied whenever visiting Timberwood. The drink menu, meal offerings, and pleasant staff are a welcome sight, especially after a long day at work. This is the best place north of town to gather with friends, co-workers, or just to grab a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend this establishment.

Best place north of Charlottesville for a business lunch. Plenty of booths on the dinner side with room for notes/papers and enough privacy and quiet for discussions. Menu has a wide range of tasty choices, from rich to skinny. Service has routinely been very good to excellent. On my last visit, they didn't have my favorite cashew chicken - but the server offered up an off-menu combination to get close & satisfy my tastes.
The bar side is a great place to watch games. Come early for a good seat; they often draw SRO crowds for big games.

Great place for a burger. One of the few places in town that can actually cook a medium rare burger without over doing it. Inventive toppings at an ok-ish price matched with a solid beer menu. Additionally they frequently accommodate large work groups and always provided excellent service.

Exceptional beer selection, particularly the monster cooler which also caters for carry out.

Superb menu too, the burgers are incredible. Almost every year there is a competition to vote for the best burger and many of the staff offer their designs and the public rates with the winner making the menu.

Lots of huge HD TV screens too if you want to catch the game, and almost always a brilliant atmosphere - especially with Tournaments such as the World Cup.

There's also a phenomenal outdoor patio area, but be sure to allow for time if it's a sunny day as those spots are extremely popular.

Friendly & knowledgeable staff add to a great experience which makes this one of Charlottesville's must visit spots.

Amazing service and fabulous food. We were visiting the area from out of town and gave it a try. Completely pleased by the thorough care and attention we received when we asked staff for help with dietary needs. Traveling with two teens, one with a dairy allergy and another with type 1 diabetes. The kitchen manager came out and spoke with us and checked, then re-checked our needs. Wonderful experience!
