My name is Jason Rekers. I grew up in the the small town of Pleasant Valley, IA. I am a Gulf War Veteran and spent 4 years with the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division. I have a BS in Biology from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, CO. I spent 18 years in southwestern Colorado building log and timber frame homes and building custom, rustic furniture.

In 2009, my wife Kristy, and our two sons moved back to the Iowa City area. I worked at a local lumber company as a sales specialist for six years but left in 2016 to pursue my passion for building.
Nature has always been my greatest passion and my family and I enjoy camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting, and all things outdoorsy!

I started Timberhawk LLC in 2017 to bring rustic, mountain charm to eastern Iowa!
