Today I was was on a mission to have a roast beef sandwich so went to Timbercreek market and had the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had.! Really. This place is well known for their butcher shop, with a great selection. They also have lunch specials daily. Highly recommend for picking meats or a great sandwich.

Passed through Charlottesville on the way to Crozet and wanted to check out the local whole-animal butchery scene of VA. The folks of Timbercreek killed it! Every part of the animal is celebrated/utilized in a way that only people who have a hand in raising them can do. Adam helped us (the two consecutive days that we went there) but the entire staff was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and patient. We tried a Grass-fed picanha, Grain-finished ribeye from their sister farm, house made prosciutto, a chicken, backstrap bacon, jowl bacon and some pig ears. While I can highly recommend any of those items, I urge you to go in and talk with any of the butchers about what you like and they will be sure to find the perfect cut for you. Coming from the farmers market scene of NYC, I can say the prices are not only reasonable, they are cheap. If you are traveling even remotely close to Charlottesville, make the stop and if you live near Charlottesville I can only say that you're a bunch of lucky dogs.

Timbercreek Farm sources meat for several of my favorite restaurants in Cville, so I'd been eager to grab lunch at the market for a whileit definitely did not disappoint!
Timbercreek Market raises the already sky high bar for farm-to-table markets and lunch spots in C'ville. This place has the best sandwiches in town. You absolutely can't go wrong with anything on the menu! They also offer an amazing selection of cheeses and meats, and a carefully selected spread of high quality craft brews and wines.
My sole complaint is that prices are high. Be prepared to pay $10+ for an la carte sandwich. They offer many phenomenal, fresh side options, but be prepared to buy them separately.
I plan to make many repeat visits to Timbercreek Market!!!response / report this review -

It's a nice farm to table deli. Expect a 10$ sandwich but they are pretty good. Lots of meats and side selections to take home. They age their own beef in plain sight too. Clean!

Fantastic local butcher shop owned by THE FARMER! Great produce and local goods as well. Sandwiches are amazing and they use all their meats! Staff is so friendly too.
