My daughter is 3 years old, has been taking riding lessons for several months and is absolutely in love. She loves Ms. Yvonne and all of the ponies. It is always a family affair, so we have actually all learned so much.

Thousand Hills Riding Stables is the perfect place for kids of all ages and levels to learn. Yvonne’s love for her horses and expertise shows through her teaching. Seeing my daughter being able to progress from learning to ride to confidently being able to show for her age group is amazing.

Also, she is learning the Ins and outs of all aspects including horse grooming, tacking up the care of the horse, farm chores as well as some horse psychology.
Yvonne teaches natural horsemanship techniques that help the kids understand the partnership between horse and the rider (kids/young adults). Through her teaching, she helps the riders build confidence and work with the horse's natural body language.

We are glad to have an excellent instructor close to home. We appreciate what Yvonne does for the kids by providing private and group lessons. I recommend her teaching to all ages.

I highly recommend Thousand Hills Riding Stables to any family looking for the children to ride. Yvonne starts teach at the age of 2!! She if very affordable and offers many options for lessons. Each student will learn everything about horsemanship. It is a great environment for any type of family!!

Yvonne was honest, flexible with her schedule, fairly priced and keeps it real about horsemanship - grooming, care, clean-up and fun. There's a lot more to riding ponies. My 3 year old looks forward to riding her pony and as a mom her smile speaks volumes. If you have any interest in letting your child try it , set up a time to visit or email. Her response time is quick. It is also nice to support local, small businesses - Thousand Hills Riding Stable was a great find for our family!

Yvonne is patient and fun. She prides herself on safety and responsibility but has realistic expectations for 3 year olds. Her horses are angels. My girls have learned so much through riding with her - and not just about how to ride - but about responsibility, now to behave around horses, and how to care for them.

Since my daughter started lessons last March I have seen a huge change in her confidence and she looks forward to every lesson. She continues to learn something new every single visit to the barn. This has been a great experience with very flexible schedules and reasonable rates. I am so glad I decided to start taking my daughter to Thousand Hills and look forward to many more visits.

Thousand Hills Riding Stable is the perfect place to bring your children to learn to ride. Yvonne is a great instructor and she takes great pride in her work and her students. All the horses and ponies are very kid safe! I highly recommend Yvonne and Thousand Hills Riding Stables as one of the best in the area. If you're looking for a great experience for young children to get exposure & learn the basics of horsemanship, this is the place! I took our twins to see Yvonne at Thousand Hills Riding Stable this week for a riding play group & it was the best experience for them. They were a bit timid at first, but warmed up by the sweetness of the pony, Scarlett, & Yvonne's gentle teaching style. Not only did they have an opportunity to ride, but learned basics of caring for their horse. The ponies here are amazingly gentle & patient. Yvonne's passion for introducing young children to good horsemanship is so evident in the way she cares for her students & ponies. We plan to return & continue with lessons in the future, can't wait! Thanks Yvonne!!
