A friend of mine brought me here for an event held by the Modern. It was a great experience. This house is unique and a great piece of history preserved in the middle of a busy city. We enjoyed touring the grounds at our leisure and experiencing the quality and character of Thistle Hill home.

Guest weren't allowed to dance at the party! Staff watching guest like hawk's. This is not the place for a lively wedding. The staff ruined my day!

Beautiful Gardens. Super busy area in the afternoon. The garden was exceptionally good for decompressing while my son was a patient at cook children hospital.

Put on a wedding here and even though the venue was simply stunning, the staff was less than cordial and it amazed me that they had us clean up both stories as well as requested that we mop up the kitchen. We were initially told we could arrive at 11am to begin set up, but the week of, we were told we couldn't show up until 1pm, the wedding was at 3pm. We were initially told that we could use the front ladies sitting room, but when we got there they had it blocked off and would not let us use this space. I would love to give it five stars because it is simply a beautiful location and is such a breathtaking venue, but for the amount that it costs to use this space, I think it was completely ridiculous how unfriendly and unaccommodating the staff was.

Beautiful Historic Home.
It's really only suited for very small weddings, though, there are some challenges with the space that make it difficult for anything larger than around fifty.
Really nice place, though, and nice service staff!

I fell in love with this beautiful place as a child when my mother took me on my first tour. In the last 40 yrs I have visited many times with my daughters. This summer I am planning a trip with my granddaughter. A fourth generation I am certain will love it as much as the first. I hope that someday soon they will open the Ball Room!

Been here enough during the earlier years of my life yet its a true nostalgic experience you're likely to never forget. I'm also really sad when my visit is over. Perhaps its time to revisit. I can only say,I'd love a dwelling place exactly as this in heaven. Electra was truly blessed. It will always be her home. God bless that old glorious house :)

Brother had his wedding here nice place. Supposed rumors say a room upastairs is haunted. I didnt see a thing except a beautiful place.
