The Village has area has turned around lately. When Lowes came to town they crushed the two local hardware stores. Really hurt the economic situation. But in time, things turned around. Rent for the shop keepers was $800 month for a booth but when the East Coast Realty company bought it out, it all but dried up. Rents soared to $1800 - $2400 month. Luckily people do shop local. I am almost 51, the Village was there LONG before I was thought of.

I like the stores situated here, like Dollar Store & Kroger, as well as a few cute boutiques. You'll find good eats at Dong's & the newly added Chicago's Pizza. The parking lot at Kroger is ridiculous. Traffic flowing in & out of Kroger gets messy when Long John's is busy & there's huge puddles when it rains or snows. I shop here frequently. The parking lot/situation is the reason for 4 stars.
