This is a great museum. I was here due to a school assignment for my Art Appreciation class at Eastern Michigan University. You can't help but to smile when you walk in and see a large work by Matisse on the wall opposite the entrance. The admission to the museum is free, however, you will need to purchase a parking pass inside the museum for 7$. There are many notable works in this location, ranging from ancient to modern. The glass house can be accessed through the second floor, out the back entrance, where they have glass blowing demonstrations and classes, and right now, they have their gallery for Modern Glass works by women artists. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

The Impressionist paintings are wonderful. One of the must sees in Toledo. Lots of activities and classes are offered at various times. The Peristyle has beautiful concerts. Beautiful building outside. Popular for photographs. The glass pavilion is beautiful as well.

One of Toledo's treasures. Beautiful works of art. Classic building. Late night Friday is a great way to see the museum without a big crowd. Definitely a must see for everyone.

Their revolving exhibits make for a great curated experience throughout the year. I was behind the scenes of an upcoming special exhibit and was blown away at the professionalism and care to provide us (you!) the best possible viewing opportunity. Take an extra minute next time just to take that in -- after, of course, the beauty and significances.

Beautiful museum with amazing works.
Kids love Egyptian area.
Absolutely unimpressed with the food there. My (then) five year old still talks about how awful his kids' meal was. I get that they are trying to live up to the fact they are a restaurant/cafe in an art museum. However, sometimes it is just better to keep it simple. I had a dill tuna salad sandwich. I love dill, but the dill overpowered the entire sandwich.
My son's "child" French bread pizza was at least four inches thick. This made it impossible to pick up and eat. I tasted it. It was bland, at best.
(Sorry so much of review was spent on food, but it really was a waste of money and time. We just should have gone home to eat.)response / report this review -

Loved everything about this one perhaps it's the easy places to sit and eat. Play and adventure. What sweet times shared with my kids and I here ❤️

All around loved the exhibits featured in the museum. Not only were the exhibits seemingly endless but they were all filled with amazing works of art. On top of that being next to a Frank Gehry building and the Glass Pavilion, this is a must see museum.

One of the best attractions in Toledo and best of all, it's free! Quite the art collection in a beautiful setting. Be sure to stop by the cafe for some good eats if you're tummy's rumbling.

We spent about 2.5 hours touring the museum. It was wonderful! We will definitely come back on another trip "to smell the roses". We need to see the rest. It will probably take several stops to see it all. One of the nice breaks to take on a trip. Well worth the timeand it's free!

Museum is really good, especially their glass exhibit. We went for a glass workshop in May and were told before we bought tickets to the event that the pieces we created would be "held indefinitely" until we were able to return to Toledo to retrieve them--we live a couple hours away. This was not actually the case as the called us and told us our pieces would be discarded at the end of the month if we did not come pick them up. So we had to make an impromptu trip to Toledo before we planned on returning because of false information given to use about pick up procedures.

This is an excellent art museum. Their collection is wide and diverse, the glass pavilion is awesome, and the Roman peristyle is breathe taking (especially with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra playing in it). TMA is a must-visit in Toledo. Just lock your car.

Fantastic museum! They always get interesting exhibits and the permanent installations never disappoint. You can easily spend several hours here every visit. The glass exhibit is very impressive. We typically make the two hour drive at least once a year. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful museum that you would not guess would be in Toledo, Ohio. They have a fabulous permanent exhibit and bring in amazing art for their rotating stock. If you are even slightly into art, PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit for an hour or two! The staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable, and I promise you won't be disappointed! (And did I mention admission is FREE? You just have to pay $5 for parking!)

The current Kehinde Wiley special exhibit is amazing. The precision and detail that goes into his works is unreal. Don't get too close though, the old security ladies will harass you for admiring the artwork. How dare you look so closely at brush strokes!

Wonderful museum! My son had so much fun here. I really enjoy how often they offer new and outdoor exhibits. The gift shop is nice too, but overpriced as to be expected. I have been to several art museums across the country and this is by far my favorite.
