Dr. Theurer is very professional and one of the best dentists I’ve been to. I have had anxiety issues with the dentist my whole life and the team at sugar house dentist has been supportive and informative throughout all of my procedures. This team provides unmatched quality service and care.

I’d like to share an honest account of our most recent visit to Dr. Thorup at the Sugar House Dentist practice and express how grateful I am for the wonderful experience(s) provided by him and his team. So, I’ll begin by saying that Dr. Thorup is amazing. Like, he’s just awesome; an exceptionally knowledgeable dentist, super patient, and extremely caring.

Since relocating to Salt Lake City, our family has seen Dr. Thorup a handful of times for routine checkups and cleanings as well as consultations for braces and gum rejuvenation. Recently, our 10 y/o daughter needed two upper teeth removed to make space for her adult teeth to prevent overcrowding and be fitted for braces.

At our initial consultation, Dr. Thorup explained the procedure, discussed the team who would assist him, and provided his recommendations as well as alternative options to consider, which we greatly appreciated. We felt comfortable knowing that whatever decision we made that Dr. Thorup’s main objective was to ensure that our daughter would be safe and comfortable. He also kept us informed of pre- and post-procedure instructions to ensure that the process went well and as described.

On the day of the procedure, and as you can imagine, our daughter was nervous but Dr. Thorup has an amazing demeanor with not only children but also with parents (who have lots of questions ). We all met the anesthesiologist who was equally as amazing as Dr. Thorup and provided us with more detail as to what to expect from his practice. As the procedure began, we were able to stay with our daughter and were so grateful for the team’s accommodation and patience.

All in all, the procedure went as planned and we were able to be chair-side when our daughter woke up. Dr. Thorup and his team spent time going over post-procedure details to ensure that our daughter was comfortable for the remainder of the day and what to expect for the coming days of recovery. Our daughter did great the days following the procedure and we could not be happier with the outcomes.

Again, we cannot thank him and his team enough for the great experience. We are truly proud to be patients of Dr. Thorup and look forward to many, many years of his service. I would 100% recommend Dr. Thorup and his team for all of your family dentistry needs. True story!

I love going to the dentist solely because of the staff and Dr Theurer. You feel like family when you come in. We have our own inside jokes. They’ve been so accommodating, answering questions, finding things out. Always so cheerful and let’s be honest- having the option to be put to sleep for dental work is an incredible option they offer! My mouth project of 25 years is almost a reality thanks to Dr Theurer and staff!

Finding a new dentist for me was very hard at first. Then I found Dr Thorup! I found him because a friend of mine was a nurse there and she was doing my Botox there. I had asked her if they are just general dentists. So I started seeing Dr Thorup.

Dr Thorup is truly the most amazing dentist on the planet. Back in December of 2021 I went in and he happened to ask after my appointment if there was anything else I wanted to talk about. I told him I had this one crooked tooth that I no longer wanted to be crooked. Even if he had to rip out teeth then do just do it! He refused to rip out teeth (even though I gave him permission) and then he recommended Invisalign. It’s been so amazing to see the results. I actually love smiling even though I have one set of trays left my teeth are almost perfect. But I used to smile with only my top teeth showing because those have always been naturally straight. But now I am so happy with these result that I love showing all my teeth when I smile. He literally gave me my confidence back by making my smile more beautiful. I’m a pretty needy patient and Dr Thorup is one of the only doctors that can handle my neediness. Go see the friendly people here. They work with you on payments. It’s always wonderful to go see them. Thank you all!
