Definitely the place to go for an anniversary or retreat. All you need in place! Very surprised how wonderful and peaceful this place is. Love the quiet relaxing atmosphere and definitely recommend it.
Had a lovely stay here. I don't have much time for a lengthy review but I want to leave one while my stay is fresh in my mind. Overall it's a resort offering both hotel and lodge accommodations. I stayed in a lodge. There were great views of the lake from everywhere. The facilities were clean and well maintained. At no point did I think anything was unhygienic. Staff was very friendly, especially impressive given that I was there for a large conference mostly comprised of college students. The catered food was tasty for the most part. There were lots of options available for a variety of dietary needs.
If I have one complaint, it's the quality of the pull out bed. The room was listed as a two person lodge. The main bed was a comfortable king. The second available bed was not at all comfortable and felt cheap compared to everything else at the resort. Other than that everything else was perfect. The in room fireplace made up for it. I had a great stay and would love to come and stay again.
My boyfriend and I were riding around and we went up by the Sagamore. I wondered what it look like so we drove up to the building. There was a man from the Sagamore out front and he looked like he was directing people. I told him I never been there and wanted to see what it look like. He told us to park up a little bit and he brought us in and told us all the areas to go and he let us go around the whole place and look at everything. He even came up to us a couple times and told us other stuff about it. It is absolutely beautiful there. My boyfriend and I are definitely going to go back and stay there. We had quite an awesome experience!
My wife and I had gone here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was amazing and beautiful. The hotel is wonderful with its old charm and the lake is just gorgeous. We came here just off season which was a little slow for us but just gonna come a week earlier next time! Will absolutely be back again.
I have been coming to the Sagamore for family vacations and for business outings for over ten years. This past weekend’s visit confirmed the same disappointment I had two years ago. The food (especially at Bella Vita), spa treatments, and staff are not the quality it once was and is not worth the price!! When returning from a day of skiing one looks forward to soothing sore muscles in the hot tub (which should return to the spa area) without having to dodge children who are clearly under 16. Only positive experience was dinner at Mr. Brown’s Pub. The staff was very accommodating to the wishes of our party of 7. I would suggest trying the better eateries nearby.
Beautiful Hotel with an exquisite staff. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful view. It is an expensive hotel but worth to try once.
Great vacation place. Breakfast is amazing, they even opened an extra area for the overflow so we didn’t have to wait. The boat cruise is romantic, just like everything else in this resort. The Sagamore has the most adorable decor and the most warm and cordial service. The room is comfortable and very homey. Would definitely come back again.
Potentially we would have given the Sagamore a highter rating but the last star fell short upon checkout with a grumpy curmudgeon at the checkout desk named, Lorraine. She greeted us early AM with a sour face and no "good morning!" We experienced a transportation issue that she refused to help solve as well. We must say the bell man outside was helpful and courteous during our transportation troubles so appreciate that! Enjoyed the pool, lake, Morgan cruise, the Bella Vita, fitness center and resort activities. Great holiday (except Lorraine ended it on a sour note)!
The best views in the region. Good restaurants. Good staff. Nice rooms. Make sure to insist on lake front room 2 or 3 floor above the main patio facing south for the best views from your room. Great for families. Lot's of kids so eat late. Plenty of quiet spots in the resort, even with all the children. I would not honeymoon here regardless of the beauty. Worth 5 stars but too noisy for older couples or honeymooners.
Loved our stay for anniversary. However, we were looking for the as advertised romantic weekend away from our kids and there were kids EVERYWHERE, There for 3 days didnt sit and relax in hot tub once. Always loaded with kids, should have restrictions for such an expensive up scale resort. Spa exceptional.
My wife and two young kids had an amazing time at the Sagamore. We rented a two bedroom condo on the hotel's property. A hotel car would come pick us up at the door and drop us off wherever we wanted to go. The hotel's playroom was the size of a small arena and featured an indoor softball court, mini golf, a movie theater, 3 video game console areas, arts and crafts and warm cookies. The restaurants were really great and catered to a wide variety of tastes. I highly recommend a family vacation here.
The food is fantastic. There are two pools, one outdoor and one indoor, both heated. You can also go in the lake if u want to cool off a bit more than the pool. The fishing is great on the lake. The device is great. They got me whatever anyone in my family or I asked for.
Stunning views and fantastic dining. Perfect for a formal sit down, happy hour, or quick bite with the family. I could not imagine how nice it'd be to stay here! Wishful thinking to one day fully enjoy this lovely place.
Rooms are great and very quiet. The whole resort is on its own island. Very dog friendly. Food is okay, but nothing special. If your here for an event, avoid the buffet. The downstairs bar serves a decent burger with an enormous bowl of fries if you're hungry.
