Nice coffee and kind staff. Wi-Fi and outlets are spotty. Hours are short.
Had a delightful Vietnamese Latte on ice that I just can't find anywhere else. One of the best cafes in LA.
Coffee was pretty good (not the best Latte I've had in LA but definitely up in the top 10) but the WiFi was far too slow. Since that is the main reason we came here, it's a fail - couldn't even load a single Web page.
I got the lavender latte and they didn't even fill up the whole cup with milk, cost five dollars and they said extra milk would cost more
Yaro is almost always behind the counter, and is amazing. Everyone I've met is warm, friendly, and takes the customer coffee experience just seriously enough.
Awesome coffee. No fuss about it. Love it.
Best coffee I have had in the USA. The gorgeous barista even asked if I prefer a flat white or latte (he knew I was from Melbourne) and even thought they only had latte on the menu, he made me the most amazing flat white! Yum! Do yourself a favour if you want Melbourne quality coffee!
Love the place so simple.
The coffee is great. 10 service
I've always experienced great friendly service here and the coffee has been consistently excellent.
If you work in downtown Santa Monica, free yourself from the ubiquitous Starbucks, and the idiosyncratic Philz-- and elect The Refinery.
This place has a crazy-friendly staff, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the coffee is transcendent. Delicious. Perfect. The lovingly crafted drinks cause customers to sigh audibly with satisfaction as they take their first sip. All the classic coffee concoctions have a place here -- as well as a few tasty teas.
With each visit, I reflect with pride on my decision to patronize such a fine establishment. The service is quick and efficient without sacrificing quality -- a rare balance to strike in the coffee shop game. You feel as if the composition of your drink was handled with care, but without the self-indulgent posturing you'll find at competitors.
If you're not in a rush to get back to the office, take a moment to enjoy the cool air inside, or warmth of the outdoor seating. The shop invites groups to stay and chat with their ample table seating, while offering bar stools for the staunch individualist seeking respite from the world outside.
If you are truly a discriminating coffee drinker, give these people your money.
